Fantasy Football Starts & Sits for Week 11 (2023)

2023 Starts and Sits Week 11 | Fantasy In Frames

Welcome to Fantasy In Frames’ Fantasy Football Starts & Sits for Week 11 (2023)!

As we move on to Week 11, we can now safely predict who’s got a playoff team and who doesn’t. If you’re on the outside looking in, keep grinding, and don’t be afraid to make a move via trade if you think it makes you stronger.  We are reaching the point in the season where we really need to make the right decisions in our lineups. Don’t overthink your starting roster, and most important of all, continue to scour the waiver wire. Good luck!

Here are my Fantasy Football Starts & Sits for Week 11 (2023)!

Start

  1. Trevor Lawrence Vs TEN
  • He is coming off his worst fantasy production of the year vs the mighty 49ers. We should see a nice bounceback performance against a defense in Tennessee that just allowed Baker Mayfield to throw for 278 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 INT last week.
  • Other than last week, where Lawrence was a forgettable QB31, he was also QB11, QB10, and QB17 in prior weeks and gets a much easier defense this week.
  1.  Joshua Dobbs @ DEN
  • Dobbs has three straight weeks of 20+ points and is facing a defense that is improving but still allowing 259 yards passing on a per game basis.
  • It’s truly incredible what Joshua Dobbs has done this season, where he has arguably been the best streaming QB of the year. He gets a full week of preparation on his new team, and dare I say, Justin Jefferson returning? Oh my, “Saddle Up”, as it should be a fun ride on Sunday.
  1. Kyler Murray @ HOU
  • Normally, I would like to see two weeks of good production, but I’m making an exception for Kyler Murray. He finished QB13 last week in his season debut and looked great running the football.
  • With another week to get his legs underneath him and an implied betting total of around 48, I love Kyler Murray in a possible shootout at NRG Stadium.

Sit

  1. Jordan Love Vs. LAC
  • It seems like a good matchup for Jordan Love after the shootout the Chargers just had with the Lions. Jordan Love is not Jared Goff. The Packers want to establish the run.
  • According to PFF, Jordan Love is QB22 on pass completions and QB20 in passing yards.
  1. Josh Allen Vs. NYJ
  • I can’t believe I’m saying this either. Let me explain. Jets D has been outstanding this year, even against top-tier QBs such as Patrick Mahomes, who only threw for 203 yards with 2 INTs back in Week 2; Justin Herbert was limited to 136 yards passing in Week 9, and to start the season out, they contained Josh Allen himself to 236 yards, where he was picked off three times.
  •  I understand where it’s hard to bench Josh Allen, but temper expectations and be careful with this one. I would rather start Brock Purdy and even Sam Howell.

Start

  1. Raheem Mostert Vs. LV
  • ESPN has Mostert ranked RB25 this week, probably because De’Von Achane is expected to be back from IR with his knee injury. I don’t expect the Dolphins to completely abandon Mostert in the run game because, at the end of the day, he is still the RB2 in fantasy points.
  • Jahmyr Gibbs torched this Raider defense with 152 yards on the ground, Saquon Barkley went for 113 yards combined, and even D’onta Foreman bulldozed his way to 89 yards and two scores. Fire up Raheem Mostert, even in a split with Achane.
  1. Devin Singletary Vs ARI
  • He ran the Bengals over last week with 150 yards on 30 carries. If Pierce is out another week, he gets another plus matchup against the Cardinals.
  • It sure helps playing with a CJ Stroud who can easily move the ball to keep defenses honest, which gives Devin Singletary plenty of opportunities to find the end zone.
  1. James Cook Vs. NYJ
  • The weakness to the New York Jets defense is run D. The Bills should go back to the ground game, which looked good last week against the Broncos.
  • James Cook has gone over 100 yards from scrimmage four times this season. If the Bills feed him the rock, he will produce.

Sit

  1. Rachaad White @ SF
  • Even though Rachaad White has finished as a Top 12 RB in the last four weeks, I can’t suggest starting him against this new-look 49ers defense.
  • Game script should have the Bucs trailing in this one, and even though he does catch the ball out of the backfield, I don’t think he will do much with it. I could see White falling outside the Top 20 at RB this week.
  1. Najee Harris @ CLE
  • It’s so hard to trust Harris from week to week, and now he gets the Browns’ tough defense? The last time he faced the Browns, he only had 43 yards on the ground.
  • Jaylen Warren has really eaten into Harris’s touches, soaking up nearly 50% of the snaps all year. Sit Najee in a difficult matchup.
  1. Darrell Henderson Vs. Sea
  • ESPN has Darell Henderson ranked right on the cusp inside the Top 25 at RB24 this week vs the Seahawks. It’s a good matchup for sure, but in the three games he was featured in since Kyren Williams went down, he hasn’t finished anything better than RB17.
  • With Matthew Stafford expecting to be back this week, I expect him to go to the air early and often and attack this poor Seahawks secondary.

Start

  1. Nico Collins Vs. ARI
  • Nico Collins has been a wonderful surprise. Collins is currently WR14 in fantasy points over at fantasydata.com. He missed last week with a calf injury but is practicing and trending toward playing this week in a potential shootout vs the Cards.
  • Nico has almost entered must-start territory as he is tied for WR9 in TDs with five so far this season.
  1. Courtland Sutton Vs. MIN
  • Did you know Courtland Sutton is tied for WR2 for total TD’s with 7? PFF also shows us he leads the league in red-zone TDs as well.
  • He has scored four weeks in a row, and I see no reason he can’t make that five straight against a middle-of-the-pack pass defense in the Minnesota Vikings.

      3.  DeVonta Smith @ KC

  • ESPN, in my opinion, is ranking Smith way too low at WR25 in a potential shootout at Arrowhead. I get that AJ Brown is the alpha in the offense, but in the last 2 games, Smith has finished as WR10 and WR15.
  • With Dallas Goedert out with a forearm injury, I expect the target share to bump up for DeVonta Smith and could go over 100 yards and a score against the Chiefs. If you have him, start him.

Sit

  1. Adam Thielen Vs. DAL
  • Adam Thielen has been in a slump the last three weeks, finishing no better than WR24.
  • Game script should have them trailing, but I want no part of this Carolina offense facing that Dallas Cowboys defense.
  1. DJ Moore @ DET
  • Justin Fields is expected to be back from his thumb injury from week 6, but does it even matter? DJ Moore has only had 2 fantastic games, which were in Week 4 and Week 5.
  • He gets plenty of targets, but turning them into TDs has been the issue. Besides his 3 TD performance, he’s only found the end zone two other times.

      3. Deandre Hopkins @ JAC

  • Since Week 8, when Will Levis took over as the starting QB and threw Hopkins 3 TD passes, he hasn’t scored since and only has 87 total yards.
  • On paper, it’s a good matchup for D-Hop, but with an implied betting total under 40 and the Titans being a run-first team, I would sit Hopkins against the Jaguars.

Start

  1. Luke Musgrave Vs. LAC
  • Back-to-back weeks of 50+ yards in a plus matchup.
  • Cole Kmet, against this defense, caught 10 balls for 79 yards, and Tyler Conklin had six catches for 66 yards. Start Musgrave with confidence.
  1. Tyler Conklin @ BUF
  • Has 13 targets and caught all of them in the last 2 weeks.
  • Look for Conklin to build on his 2 solid performances.
  1. Logan Thomas Vs. NYG
    • Although it’s not the greatest matchup vs TEs, his volume is a great play as he’s tied for TE11 on targets with 50 for the season.
    • Logan Thomas has 3 top-10 TE finishes for the week.

Sit

  1. Jake Ferguson @ CAR
  • The Carolina Panthers have been very stingy towards TEs, as they have allowed the seventh-fewest fantasy points this season on a per game basis.
  • Being that it’s a tough matchup and he’s only averaging 4 receptions a game I would bench Ferguson here against the Panthers.
  1. David Njoku Vs. PIT
  • Dorian Thompson-Robinson is the new starting QB replacing Deshaun Watson. Let’s wait this one out and see how it goes before we plug Njoku back in.
  • The Steelers have only allowed 1 TD to a TE this season.
  1. Evan Engram Vs. TEN
    • He gets plenty of targets but unfortunately doesn’t do a whole lot with them as he hasn’t found the end-zone yet.
    • The Tennessee Titans’ defense has been suspect all year, except when facing the TE. They are the only team to have yet to allow a TD to a TE. Sit Evan Engram.

Start

  1. New York Jets @ BUF
  • Josh Allen leads all QBs with 11 interceptions.
  • Jets have the 9th most int’s with 9. I’m willing to bet they pick off Allen again multiple times. Don’t be afraid to start the Jets D.

       2. New York Giants @ WAS

  • Are the Giants a good defense? No, but the Commanders’ offensive line is just as bad as they have allowed the most sacks in the league.
  • Not only is Sam Howell the most sacked QB, but he’s also tied for QB4 with the most interceptions with 9.

       3. Los Angeles Chargers @ GB

  • The Chargers have 3rd most sacks with 32. They should be able to get to Jordan Love and add to that sack total.
  • Jordan Love is right behind Josh Allen in interceptions, with the 2nd most thrown with ten so far this season.

Sit

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars Vs TEN
  • This will be the first meeting between the two division rivals. If we look back last year in both games, the Titans ran the ball a lot with Derrick Henry totaling 47 carries for 230 yards. I see them continuing that trend not giving the Jags a chance to create turnovers.
  • Minnesota Vikings @ DEN
    • The Vikings defense has only 3 Top 10 finishes, and that was against Carolina, Green Bay, and Chicago.
    • Russell Wilson has taken care of the football only throwing 4 INTs on the season and none since week 6.
