Player Overview
Roschon Johnson is a 6’2, 220lbs Running Back coming out of the University of Texas. He was a three-year contributor for the Longhorns and played well enough not to be completely forgotten about whilst sharing a backfield with Bijan Robinson. His 45% Forced Missed Tackle rate over the last two seasons led all College Football, and that physical running style is what has some projecting Johnson as a Day 2 selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Player Summary
The 4.58 40-yard dash time posted at the 2023 NFL Combine tells you that you’re not getting a speedster at the RB position in Roschon Johnson, but his 1.52-second 10-yard split at 6’2, 220lbs was impressive (83rd percentile according to Mockdraftable) and shows that there’s more to his game than just a powerful running style.
Fantasy Summary
Johnson’s current ADP, according to DLF, is late in the second round of rookie drafts. If a team takes him on day two of the NFL Draft I wouldn’t be surprised to see that ADP rise to the mid and maybe even early portion of the second round.
