Player Overview
Bijan Robinson is an elite college prospect with the athletic ability and production history to back it up.
He comes into the NFL from the University of Texas and has checked every single box you could ask him to check. He is a mortal lock to go in the first round of the NFL draft. If he can land in one of these dream spots, such as Cincinnati or Buffalo, the league better watch out.
Player Summary
Bijan broke out his freshman year at Texas for over 700 yards and 6 touchdowns and never slowed down from there. With his smooth running style and his non-aversion to contact, Bijan would be a fit for every NFL offense.
Where Bijan is really going to shine at the next level is going to be his ability in the receiving game. You could line him up in the slot for every single play throughout the course of a game and have a plus player at receiver for you. If Bijan can avoid serious injury at a position where it happens often, he will quickly earn elite status in NFL circles.
Fantasy Summary
I sound like a broken record, but Bijan Robinson has all the tools to immediately be an elite-level fantasy producer at the running back position. His value right now is sky-high, and might never be higher, which presents a very weird, uncomfortable, and somewhat unprecedented sell window before he ever has his name called in Kansas City.
Whether you act on that sell window or “stick and pick” and take Bijan, you will be extremely happy. He is a 3 down back that is already a better pass catcher than a majority of the players who finished in the top 12 at the position in 2022.
My only real concern for Bijan’s production is if he gets drafted by a team that firmly believes in the RBBC approach. It takes a rare specimen to be a true workhorse, 3 down back in the modern NFL, and produce at the top 5 fantasy level. All indications say that Bijan Robinson is one of those rare specimens and should perform thusly.
