Preston’s Fantasy Football FLEX Plays for Week 14 (2023)

Fantasy Football Flex Plays for Week 14 (2023) | Fantasy In Frames

This is Preston Evans, your Fantasy Homeboy here to give you my Top Five Flex Plays for Week 14. This week, we only have two teams on bye as we approach the last week in the fantasy football regular season for most leagues. We have the Commanders and the Cardinals resting this week. So I hope that these options can help you guys bring it home.

You can catch all of my content on X @PJ2082 and check out all of the great content by our outstanding crew on the Fantasy In Frames website and on YouTube. You can see more of my previous work by clicking here.

#1 Jayden Reed Vs. The Giants

My first flex option is Jayden Reed. The Packers have a pretty good matchup this week against the Giants. The Giants are ranked 20th against the pass this season, even though they have stepped it up a little the past couple of weeks. Jordan Love has also been playing some great ball the past couple of weeks as well. On the season, Reed has received 64 and hauled in 40 of them for 513 yards and five touchdowns. These numbers are pretty good for a rookie. What makes him so sweet this week is that Christian Watson has been ruled out with a hamstring injury on top of the soft matchup with the Giant’s pass defense that gives up an average of 228.2 yards per game in the air this season. Fire up Reed with confidence in your flex spot.

#2 Brandin Cooks Vs. The Eagles

Cooks has been nothing short of great the past few weeks. Taking complete advantage of all the attention that Ceedee Lamb has been receiving. From weeks 10 through 13, Cooks has put up 63 fantasy points in half-PPR formats. This week, the Cowboys are facing the Eagles, which should turn out to be a great game full of fantasy points. I best believe Cooks will be receiving his as well. The Eagles pass defense has been very generous this year through the air. They have given up an average of 260.2 yards through the air to opposing teams, and the Cowboys have had no problem airing it out. Snap shares for Cooks have risen in the past three weeks, and he has been the number two target in this offense since he has been fully healthy. Cooks should see a healthy target share in this pass-friendly defense from the Eagles. Fire up Cooks in your flex, and don’t be surprised if you get a WR2 output.

#3 Elijah Moore Vs. The Jaguars

My third flex option is Elijah Moore. This is also going to be a great play because of the Amari Cooper injury. Cooper did clear the concussion protocol, so it’s more than likely he will play. Cooper is also dealing with a rib injury that could see him seeing a limited number of snaps or playing the decoy role. Moore had his best game on the season last week with Joe Flacco at the helm. Moore will do just fine at your flex spot this week in a pinch. Flacco showed his willingness to get Moore the ball last week, and I don’t see that changing this week. Moore had a season-high 12 twelve targets last week. He and Flacco also have a little bit of history from their time playing with the Jets. Even then, Flacco was getting Moore the ball. His snap count also went up to 100 percent last week. This was also a first for him this season. I see this trend continuing on to this week as well. If you are in need of a solid flex option, then Moore should be a play against a Jaguar team that has given up an average of 261 yards through the air per game.

#4 Zay Jones Vs. The Browns

With Kirk sidelined for the season with an injury, Jones should see his snap count increase. In the six games that Jones has been healthy, he was targeted 33 times for two touchdowns. The matchup isn’t very favorable for the team as a whole, but the ball has to go somewhere other than Ridley. This Browns team gave up 279 passing yards last week against the Rams. If you are in need of a flex option for this week, play Zay. I believe he could get you some solid production this week in a pinch.

#5 Courtland Sutton Vs. The Chargers

At this point in the season, players should see that Sutton is almost guaranteed a touchdown per game. This is what he has shown all season. This Chargers’ defense is ranked 31st against the pass, and Sutton has shown to be Wilson’s guy this season. Sutton has nine receiving touchdowns in 12 games. He plays the most snaps in this wide receiver corp and 75 targets. In this matchup with this weak Chargers defense, it’s okay to throw Sutton in your flex and know that he will, at the very least, see the endzone and maybe have one of his best showings in yardage.
