Backroads To The Fantasy Playoffs

There is nothing wrong with taking the backroads to the fantasy playoffs!

Some of you might have a stellar team that has just underperformed all season. Some of you might have found some way to make the most of a bad situation by working that waiver-wire and surviving through bye-week hell. Whatever the case may be the fact of the matter is that you are in contention to make the playoffs. So don’t let HOW you make the playoffs make you feel bad. Just make them.

THEN….anything can happen.

Below is my list of players, for week 12, which I believe will help you do just that.

Here are my 4-EYED PREVIEWS for Week 12

Quarterback: Look for Sam Darnold’s hot streak to continue versus the Raiders

Just like he did in his rookie year, Sam Darnold is starting to get into a rhythm and take advantage of solid matchups down the stretch of the season. Coming off an impressive 4 TD & 25.4 fantasy point performance against the Washington Redskins, Darnold will now go up against a Raiders team that’s allowing 21.4 fantasy points to opposing cornerbacks. With the Jets offense clicking on all cylinders lately look for Darnold’s hot streak to continue.

Running Back: Kareem Hunt should have a solid outing against the Dolphins

Kareem Hunt has averaged 11.5 total touches since coming back from suspension and has averaged 9.85 fantasy points per game. He has been fairly consistent in the receiving game out of the backfield posting 44 and 46 yards in back to back game and now faces a Dolphins team that is down their two starting safeties and is giving up an averaged of 23.7 fantasy points per game to both receivers and running backs making a strong play this week.

Receivers: D.J. Moore and Jacob Hollister should have ample receiving volume this week

Over the past quarter of the season, D.J. Moore has averaged 12.5 fantasy points per game, 88.5 yards per game, and 7.3 receptions per game. This week he’ll face Saints team that will be without their top starting cornerback, Marshon Lattimore, making Moore a mandatory must start in week 12.

Jacob Hollister may be facing an Eagles team allowing just 5.8 fantasy points per game to tight ends, but over the past few weeks, he has become Russell Wilson’s safety blanket in the receiving game and in the red zone (aka in scoring position). In back to back games, he’s averaged close to 17 fantasy points per game and is tied for most red zone targets and receptions on the Seahawks. Start him!

IDPs OF THE WEEK

Linebacker and Defensive Back: Jerome Baker & Nik Needham are new Dolphin Duo to watch out for this week

Going against a Browns team that will likely want to get Nick Chubb going in the running game to set up what should be a beautiful passing and receiving day in Cleveland, Jerome Baker (who has averaged 9 total tackles the past four weeks) and Nik Needham (who has averaged 6.3 tackles per game the past three weeks as the starter and has 5 passes defensed over the past two weeks) will look to have plenty of volume this week and should reward IDP managers with solid production in week 12!

Those are my 4-EYED PREVIEWS for WEEK 12!

Good luck this week, folks!
