And The March Goes On

As we march forward towards the fantasy football playoffs it’s important that we make sure we don’t lose our focus of the objective at hand which is to MAKE SMART DECISIONS when deciding WHO you should insert into your starting roster from week to week.

Yes, this should go without saying but even the experts, present company included, need to take a minute to remind themselves to make actual SMART decisions. Case in point I had Josh Allen and Ryan Tannehill on my roster, both of which ended up performing well in great matchups, yet I overthought things and ended up dropping both for Brian Hoyer because he was taking on the Dolphins.

……What. The. F***.

I have no excuse. What happened there was TEXTBOOK overthinking. Had I just followed my own advice and played either quarterback I would have been home free. NOW, I’m I need to win out to make the playoffs.

Overthinking.

BAD.

Not overthinking.

GOOD.

You see folks, fantasy football doesn’t need to be that hard.

Now that we have that public service announcement out of the way, let’s talk about players that YOU, as well as I, should play with confidence in week 11.

Here are my 4-EYED PREVIEWS for Week 11

Quarterback: NOW is the time to play the quarterback taking on the Dolphins

Josh Allen has averaged 20.4 fantasy points per game the past quarter of the season, 228 total yards (rushing and passing) per game, 1.25 passing touchdowns per game, and 0.75 rushing touchdowns per game. He’s done all that versus poor competition. This week should be no different as this is the same Dolphins team that allowed Allen to rack up 21.3 fantasy points against them four weeks ago.

Running Back: Joe Mixon will keep his fantasy point producing streak going against the Raiders

Yes, I know the Bengals suck. Yes, I know Joe Mixon hasn’t been performing well for you all season. Trust me. I Know.

So why start him this week? For starters, he’s facing off against an Oakland team ranked 22nd against the run. Next. Mixon has slowly seen his attempts and rushing yard average per game go up the past couple of weeks indicating that this offensive line for the Bengals is starting gel. Finally, Mixon has been targeted more and more in the receiving game which is valuable to the managers who have him in 0.5 or full PPR formatting. Fire him up as your FLEX with confidence and RB2 if necessary.

Wide Receiver: If Emmanuel Sanders can’t go on Sunday, fire up Deebo Samuels against Arizona

No George Kittle and no Emmanuel Samuels = DEBO TIME!

Old man or young man, we don’t discriminate here.  The past two weeks Debo Samuels has averaged 9 targets per game, 76 yards, and will now take on a Cardinals team that ranks last in the league in defensive coverage. FIRE. HIM. UP.

IDP OF THE WEEK

Defensive Back: Chuck Clark will continue building up his resume versus the Texans on Sunday

Since taking over for Tony Jefferson Chuck Clark has averaged 8.9 fantasy points per game and 6.7 total tackles per game. On the season he has a great solo to assisted tackle ratio with 24 solo tackles and 12 assisted, and with what will be a shootout in Baltimore you better believe they’ll be plenty of opportunities for Clark to add to his already impressive tackle numbers this season on Sunday.
