Quarterback: Daniel Jones had a solid outing in Week 2!

Or should I say, Daniel Jones played his ass off in Week 2!
249 yards in the air, 95 yards on the ground, 2 total touchdowns, and 29.46 fantasy points later against a tough Washington defense and all of a sudden Jones is making a name for being a potentially short-to-intermediate term streaming option at the Quarterback position.
Why’s that?
Jones has the following schedule over the next three weeks:
Week 3 | Atlanta Falcons | 32nd in Pass Rushing |
Week 4 | New Orleans Saints | 25th in Pass Rushing |
Week 5 | Dallas Cowboys | 21st in Pass Rushing |
All are winnable matchups from both a real and fantasy football perspective for the Giants and Jones. I can understand why you might have trust issues with “Danny Dimes” as he hasn’t been the most consistent fantasy producer over the course of his career. That being said his production so far this season plus the choice matchups over the next few weeks makes him hard to fade.
Running Back: Don’t look now but James White is starting to become FLEX worthy again!

In Week 2, James White was tied for the second-most targets on the New England Patriots and finished the week just outside of RB1 range scoring 15.5 fantasy points in half-PPR scoring! With Mac Jones being the QB30 in average depth of target passing with 5.7 yards it seems pretty obvious that his mantra so far this season has been TAKE CARE OF THE FOOTBALL!
With a matchup against the Saints next week and then the showdown of showdowns with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two weeks from now you better believe Jones will look to feed his safety blanket of dependable players in these matchups. Don’t look now but James White should be on your fantasy radar going forward!
Wide Receiver: Terry “F1” McLaurin managers should be VERY happy going forward!

Look I’m a Washington Football Team fan and even I WAS SCARED of the James Bradberry shadow last Thursday night. Shame on me and shame on YOU for doubting F1’s upside. Now granted we didn’t really know what to expect with Taylor Heinicke at the helm. That being said McLaurin’s team-leading 14 targets in a tough matchup should calm everyone’s fear of McLaurin’s upside going forward. Even with the Tre’Davious White’s shadow against the Bills next week you should STILL feel comfortable inserting McLaurin into your WR1/WR2 spot on your starting roster this week and weeks to come.
Tight End: T.J. Hockenson is Elite.

With tight end being the wasteland of wastelands at the position in fantasy football, for those who held out a few rounds of their drafts last month in order to pick up Hockenson must feel REALLY happy about that choice. On Monday night, Hockenson his team-leading 9 targets for 16.6 fantasy points in half-PPR scoring. In two weeks this season his 19.2 fantasy point per game average makes him one of the elites at the position from a fantasy standpoint. Don’t even consider him as trade bait for some other players regardless of who it is. Just be happy you have him on your roster.
Edge Rusher (DL/OLB): Danielle Hunter is re-establishing himself as one of the best pass rushers in the NFL!

Since 2018 Danielle Hunter has only scored fewer than 10 fantasy points in a game 7 times. He’s been in the top 5 in fantasy points per game average since that time and shows no signs of slowing down after not playing in 2020 due to a neck injury. He’s in the top 15 in win % versus offensive line blocking, according to Pro Football Focus, so far this season, top 7 in total pressures, and second among edge rushers in sacks. It’s rare that a true defensive lineman still holds value in IDP fantasy football give the dual eligibility edge rushers have in terms of DL/LB assignment. For those that were able to draft him on the cheap keep holding on to him and enjoy his production this season!
Defensive Back: Taylor Rapp and Jordan Fuller are proving to be the best tackling safety tandem in all of fantasy football.
Both Rapp and Fuller combined for 13 solo tackles this past weekend against the Colts and have 13 and 12 solo tackles on the season respectively. They are the very definition of what #TackleMachines are all about. Fuller is the DB22 on the season in IDP123 scoring and Rapp is the DB26 in fantasy points per game. Depending on the size of your IDP roster, if you are in large leagues with at least 6 or more IDP positions try acquiring these players ASAP before their hype drives their value up too much in terms of trade value.
Linebacker: De’Vondre Campbell is becoming the new name at the linebacking position in Green Bay.
Friend of the Fantasy In Frames family, Mike Woellert of 4 for 4 Fantasy Football, said it best in regards to Campbell’s performance on Monday Night Football this past week!

I mean…come on the man put up 13 total tackles (10 solo), 1 PD, and an interception on Monday night for a total of 32 fantasy points in IDP123 scoring. Don’t look now but we might have just found the linebacker to fill the void of Blake Martinez in the high-volume tackling department for Green Bay. That being said don’t overcommit just yet to keeping him in your lineups. Let us see him show us this type of performance more consistently before grabbing the anointing oil.
