Week 13 Waiver Wire Adds For IDP

Ladies and gentlemen, this is what we have been preparing for!

All of the weekly grinding, waiver wire scouring, and deep-diving!  Each add, each drop, each trade!  All in preparation for the fantasy playoffs!  Not too fast tho, there is 1 more week to go, and while I hope all of you aren’t in this position, Week 13 could be a win and get in for many of us!

By now, the waiver wire is a scoured and barren wasteland of fantasy castoffs or never will be’s.  Do not fret tho, I have taken the time to dig a little deeper and find some “hidden” gems on the wire. In all honesty, I don’t know how some of these players are rostered in so few leagues, but one mans’ trash is another mans’ treasure!  Without further ado, here is your Week 13 treasure trove!

Defensive Line

Quinnen Williams

The 2019 1st round pick has been on my radar for the past 2 weeks and it is starting to pay dividends!  Williams has been harassing opposing QB’s with much more frequency over the past month and his fantasy impact is definitely being noticed.  Well, maybe not yet, considering he is only rostered in 5% of leagues.  Don’t let the low % deter you, seeing as he tallied 7 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a forced fumble in Week 12!  To go one step further, over the last 4 games played, he has totaled 17 tackles, 3 sacks, and 8 QB hits.  The Jets will face off against the Las Vegas Raiders, who allowed 5 sacks in Week 12 to the Falcons.  Look for the former 1st rounder to apply enough pressure to warrant consideration this week!

Kerry Hyder Jr.

In a season where the 49ers have been devastated by injuries, most notable Nick Bosa, Kerry Hyder Jr has been a welcoming addition to this team.  Hyder Jr. was a mention of mine after the unfortunate loss to Bosa.  After the loss, he immediately returned IDP value, but then had fallen off in the middle of the season, only to come back with a vengeance over the past 4 games.  In that time, he has registered 15 tackles, 4 sacks, and 6 QB hits.  Last week alone, he picked up 2 sacks and a fumble recovery!  Looking ahead to Week 13, the 49ers will welcome the Buffalo Bills, who will be without their starting LT, leaving Allen’s blindside in danger.

Leonard Williams

Leonard Williams has been on a monster tear lately when it comes to getting to the QB!  Over the past 4 games, Williams has 11 tackles, 3 sacks, a fumble recover,y, and a staggering 12 QB hits!  Williams and the Giants will face the Seahawks in Week 13, which should be a good game script for the Giants to be attacking Russell Wilson.  Plus, it doesn’t hurt that Wilson has been sacked the 2nd most of any QB in the NFL.

Linebacker

Troy Reeder

With Micah Kiser on the I/R, Troy Reeder stepped in again and performed admirably!  Reeder picked up 15 tackles (12 solo) and a TFL.  This is only the 2nd time that Reeder has seen more than 80% of the snaps in a game, and in both games, he has put up 20+ fantasy points!  Reeder and the Rams will face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13, and with Kyler being limited by the ailing shoulder, expect enough plays to stay in front of Reeder to lead to another heavy tackle-volume game!

A.J. Klein

I mentioned A.J. Klein in a very recent article with the news of Matt Milano going on I/R, and felt the need to mention his name again.  All Klein has done over the last 3 games played is total of 25 solo tackles, 5 assisted, 4.5 sacks, 6.5 TFL, and a pass defensed!  Those numbers put him safely as the LB1 over that span according to FantasyPros scoring!  Now, in week 13, he gets another good matchup on Monday Night Football against the 49ers, who are among the leaders in points allowed to the LB position.

Nicholas Morrow

Morrow has now played in 100% of the snaps in 3 straight games and has given us LB1 type numbers over that span.  Since week 10, he has provided 20 solo/3 assisted tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 5 passes defensed.  As long as Morrow is getting the full allotment of snaps, he possesses sneaky good upside.  Look for Morrow to have another good tackle volume game and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him combine for a sack vs the Jets.

Defensive Back

Kamren Curl

Yes, I have mentioned Curl in previous articles, and I am going to continue to mention him until he is no longer relevant or he is rostered in more than 10% of leagues.  Since Landon Collins’ injury, Kurl has been an absolute machine!  From Week 9 on, Kurl has been the DB2 in Fantasy Pros scoring, with a combined stat line of 22 solo to 15 assisted tackles, 2.5 TFL, 2 sacks, and 4 QB hits.  Get out there and grab Kurl for his Week 13 matchup vs the Steelers.

Vonn Bell

I typically like to mention players are less than 10% rostered in the waiver wire adds, but I feel that Bell could be available and has been balling out over the past couple of weeks.  The former Buckeye now has 10 total tackles in back to back games on top of the forced fumble and fumble recovery.  The Bengals will travel to South Beach to play against a Dolphins team that looks to control the majority of the game with the Bengals’ inept offense.

Adrian Phillips

Adrian Phillips is another one of those previously mentioned players, yet the % hasn’t increased enough for me to just ignore his output.  He has had 5 tackles in the past 7 games, in addition to the consecutive games with a pass defended.  He currently leads the Patriots in solo tackles and TFL’s and is primed for a matchup against the Chargers and Rams in Weeks 13 and 14, both of whom allow a top 10 amount of points to opposing teams’ Safeties.

That concludes the Week 13 Waiver Wire Adds for IDP.  As I mentioned before, I hope this isn’t a must-win week for you to make the playoffs, but if it is, I hope one of these gems shines brightly on you in Week 13!
