Let’s examine some important matchups on offense in Week 10!
Quarterbacks
Jared Goff vs. Seattle
Jared Goff gets two gifts wrapped up for him heading into Week 10. Not only does he get the Seahawks, who give up the most fantasy points to quarters, but he’s also coming off a bye. Quarterbacks have scored over 28 Fantasy Points against the Seahawks in over 60% of their games. Granted Goff hasn’t scored over 28 fantasy points in a game this year, but keeping up with Russ has quarterbacks averaging 372.5 pass yards per game.
Running Backs
Leonard Fournette vs. Carolina
Leonard Fournette only had a single carry last week, but then again the Bucs only had four rushing attempts as a team. Fournette gets Carolina this week who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to running backs on the year (25.1 fppg). The best part is that the Panthers have allowed 63 receptions to running backs this year, most in the league. With Fournette averaging 6.3 targets per game over the last three weeks, he’s in a fantastic spot!
Washington Backfield vs. Detroit
This is a fantastic matchup for the Washington backfield this week who face a Detroit defense that is allowing the most fantasy points per game in the NFL (32.7)! Detroit is also tied for the league lead in total touchdowns to running backs at 15. Treat last week as an outlier for J.D., but I still expect a respectable performance. McKissick is coming off a nine catch game where saw 14 targets, but the Lions are only allowing 4.6 receptions per game to backs. No way Gibson only gets the nine touches he saw last week verse this defense. I’ll fire this backfield up in Week 10 if needed.
James Robinson vs. Green Bay

Wide Receiver
Robert Woods/Cooper Kupp vs. Seattle
Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods could both finish as the WR1 in Week 10. No team gives up more fantasy points to wide receivers (48.6 fppg) and it’s not even close. There should be plenty of targets to go around for both though as Seattle allows 22 receptions a game. With Seattle allowing 279.5 receiving yards per game, both guys are going to eat. Plus, their quarterback is also coming off a game in which he threw 61 passes.
Panthers Wideouts vs. Tampa Bay
The Panthers wide receivers have to face the stingy Bucs defense this week. They’re allowing just 27.3 fppg and also have a stud in Carlton Davis playing corner. He has a 57.9 passer rating against on 64 targets this season. He was added to the injury report yesterday so definitely keep an eye on that. D.J. Moore did score 17.50 FP in Week 2 vs Tampa Bay. Will you go back to him coming off a two-catch performance?
Robinson/Mooney/Miller vs. Minnesota
This a great matchup for this entire wide receiver corps on paper. Minnesota allows the second-most fantasy points to the position (38.1). They are tied with Dallas for most touchdowns in the NFL, but they have allowed 16 in eight games compared to Dallas’ nine. Both Mooney and Anthony Miller are coming off back to back games where they’ve caught at least five balls. Nick Foles attempted more than 40 passes in five of his last six games and over 260 pass yards in each of the last three weeks.

Tight End
Once again, Mark Andrews saw his struggles continue. Unfortunately, I have to keep putting the blame on Lamar Jackson and I don’t see the situation improving. All the way back in Week 1 is the only time LJ has topped 210 pass yards. In fact, he’s thrown for over 225 yards just twice dating all the way to Week 7 of last year. To make matters worse, Andrews faces off against the Patriots who allow a league-low 5.9 fppg to tight ends. Mark Andrews has been completely touchdown-dependent this season and the Pats have only allowed one touchdown to the position all year. With the Pats allowing just 2.9 receptions per game to tight ends I’d look elsewhere.
Bonus Tight End Stats
- Atlanta has allowed the most fantasy points (15.0) to the position and given up the most touchdowns (8) as well
- Colts are the only team in the league to not give up a touchdown to a TE
- Bills allow the most receiving yards (68.1) to the position
- Philly, Buffalo, and Atlanta give up the most receptions per game (6.1)
