Waiver Wire Targets for Week 13 (2021)

Waiver Wire Targets for Week 13 (2021)

Here we go with our Waiver Wire Targets for Week 13 for the 2021 fantasy football season. Find out who you should go after below!

Tyler is out this week, so I will attempt to fill his shoes in helping you decide which players to pick up off of your league’s waiver wire heading into Week 13. Remember, THIS is the time of year where you need to start thinking about playoff value in terms of waiver adds, not just adds for next week’s matchups!

I will be focusing on players at less than a 55% rostered rate in consensus numbers in ESPN and Yahoo leagues compiled by Fantasy Pros.

Quarterback Streamers

Carson Wentz, Indianapolis Colts, Consensus Roster Percentage 51.2%, Week 13 Matchup at Texans

Carson Wentz is a serviceable fantasy quarterback, folks! In Week 12, on 44 passing attempts versus Tampa Bay, he posted 306 passing yards, 3TDs, and 19.34 fantasy points. When playing against teams with either a poor pass rush or poor secondary, Wentz does what he’s supposed to do which is play well from a fantasy standpoint. Facing more difficult matchups is another story. In Week 13, Wentz and the Colts face off against the Texans who are allowing the7th most fantasy points to opposing QBs (19.4 pts/game). Again with another winnable matchup. Fire him up this week!

Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints, Consensus Roster Percentage 3.6%, Week 13 Matchup vs Cowboys

In Week 4, on only 3 passing attempts for 9 yards and 6 rushing attempts for 28 yards, on only 16% of snaps, Hill put up 16.8 fantasy points. With reports coming out that Hill has been practicing with the 1s on offense for the Saints heading into the TNF matchup versus Dallas this week, Hill has a fantastic matchup set up for him not only this week but down the stretch from Week 13 through the fantasy playoffs!

Running Backs

Alexander Mattison, Minnesota Vikings, Consensus Roster Percentage 41.8%, Week 13 vs Lions

I mean…what do I really have to say about Alexander Mattison other than PICK HIM UP AND START HIM if he’s available in your league. Facing a second matchup versus the Lions in Week 13 this season, Mattison will look to top his Week 5 performance where he put up 153 total yards, 7 receptions, 1 TD, and 21.8 half-PPR fantasy points.

Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers, Consensus Roster Percentage 35.4%, Week 13 BYE

Save your FAAB. Why? Find out on 4th And Frames on Wednesday at 8 PM EST.

D’onta Foreman, Tennessee Titans, Consensus Roster Percentage 43.1%, Week 13 BYE

On a team-leading 19 rushing attempts, Foreman was a strip fumble away from kicking down the doors on his 109 rushing yards & 9.2 fantasy point performance for the day. Reports came out late Sunday morning that he was to be given the bulk of the carries against New England and that was in fact what had happened. Given the fact his rostership percentage is so low and he’s on a bye this week, some fantasy managers might cut bait with him hoping he’ll still be available after Week 13. Don’t be that person. Snag him now and set your rosters up for future success.

Dontrelle Hilliard, Tennessee Titans, Consensus Roster Percentage 26.5%, Week 13 Bye

Insert what I just said about D’onta Foreman for Dontrelle Hilliard. Hilliard is coming off of back-to-back weeks putting up double-digit fantasy points versus Houston (14.2) and now New England (16.8). The weapons for the Titans are severely lacking and volume is there for both of these Texans’ running backs. Stay ahead of the curve and roster either ASAP

Wide Receivers

Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons, Consensus Roster Percentage 17.8%, Week 13 vs Bucs

Gage saw his second-best fantasy outing of the season posting 15.2 fantasy points on 62 receiving yards and 1 TD. Going against a Tampa Bay team that will more than likely be playing with a large lead, look for Gage to capitalize on garbage time production giving you serviceable fantasy production in back-to-back weeks.

Josh Reynolds, Detroit Lions, Consensus Roster Percentage 0.7%, Week 13 vs Vikings

Praise Jeebus, Jared Goff has a “reliable” target in the receiving game outside of T.J. Hockenson. Josh Reynolds led receivers in targets on the day, receiving yards, and fantasy points (14.5 pts in half-PPR). Look for their L.A. connection to pay dividends in the Motor City next week against a Vikings secondary which is giving up the second-most fantasy points to the wide receiver position on the season.

Tight Ends

James O’Shaughnessy, Jacksonville Jaguars, Consensus Roster Percentage 0.1%, Week 13 vs Rams

With Dan Arnold out for at least the next three weeks due to a sprained MCL, O’Shaughnessy will look to step in and be Trevor Lawrence’s new best friend by capitalizing off of his 13 targets in two games played as the starter on the season. Look tight end is a shallow position, and at this point in the season just reach for the upside play which O’Shaughnessy is.

That does it for our Waiver Wire Targets for Week 13!
