If you’ve made the semi-fiinals in fantasy football playoffs, congratulations. Now it’s time to ensure your roster is as tight as possible. While your trade deadline has most likely passed, waiver wires are still available. Here is your guide for who are the MAJOR Waiver Wire Adds in Week 16. For a more comprehensive list, check out my waiver wire rankings here.
QBs
Russell Wilson (Denver Broncos)
Rostership Percentages: ESPN: 39.9% | Yahoo: 46% | Sleeper: 74%;
Week 16 Matchup: Los Angeles Rams | Week 17 Matchup: Kansas City Chiefs
- Wilson has two potentially two great matchups to close out the fantasy football playoffs; one against a Aaron Donald-less Rams defense and then a Kansas City Chiefs team that two weeks ago he put up 26.6 points on. If he’s cleared to play, put him on your roster
Carson Wentz (Washington Commanders)
Rostership Percentages: ESPN: 39.9% | Yahoo: 46% | Sleeper: 74%|
Week 16 Matchup: San Francisco 49ers | Week 17 Matchup: Cleveland Browns
- This is a name to watch out for, not so much this week against the best defense in the league in the 49ers, but for Week 17 against Cleveland. If Taylor Henickie plays poorly again this week, head coach Ron Rivera might make the switch at QB and insert a player who had been averaging close to 17 PPG. Plus with all the weapons for Washington starting to fire on all cylinders…… I’m just saying.
RBs
Tyler Allgeier (Atlanta Falcons)
Rostership Percentages: ESPN: 33.5% | Yahoo: 37% | Sleeper: 66%|
Week 16 Matchup: Baltimore Ravens | Week 17 Matchup: Arizona Cardinals

- How is he still available in a majority of ESPN and Yahoo leagues is beyond me. Come Week 17, Allgeier will face the 8th most generous defense when it comes to fantasy points allowed. This guy is league winning upside. Stop reading this and go pick him up now!
Deon Jackson (Indianapolis Colts)
Rostership Percentages: ESPN: 11.9% | Yahoo: 7.0% | Sleeper: 31%|
Week 16 Matchup: Los Angeles Chargers | Week 17 Matchup: New York Giants

- In his only game playing in relief of Jonathan Taylor in Week 6, Jackson put up 23.1 points on mostly 10 receptions for 79 yards. The Chargers should build a solid of enough lead versus the Colts making this a good upside play in the semi-finals this week
Khalil Herbert (Chicago Bears)
Rostership Percentages: ESPN: 27.6% | Yahoo: 39% | Sleeper: 35%|
Week 16 Matchup: Buffalo Bills | Week 17 Matchup: Detroit Lions
- The recently activated to return to practice from IR Herbert, is an interesting pick up this week. Only ONCE in the season has he averaged less than 5 YPC. The guys needs more volume and with the beating Justin Fields keeps receiving weekly Herbert could be looked upon to help with that making him an interesting FLEX option these next two weeks if he is activated to play.
WRs
Jahan Dotson (Washington Commanders)
Rostership Percentages: ESPN: 26.3% | Yahoo: 17% | Sleeper: 33%|
Week 16 Matchup: San Francisco 49ers | Week 17 Matchup: Cleveland Browns
That loss sucked so bad but Washington got it right when they selected Jahan Dotson & Brian Robinson! pic.twitter.com/SjXVe1wngz
— Zac (@DCzWall) December 19, 2022
- Jahan” Woooooooooooo” Dotson! That’s right, my fandom is out in full force here. Look, all the guy does is make big plays and score touchdowns. Every game he’s played 70% (6 games) of the snaps or more, Dotson has averaged 13.1 PPG and has tallied 6 TDs. He’s an auto FLEX for me the next two weeks against defenses that are allowing, on average, nearly 20 PPG to the position.
Treylon Burks (Tennessee Titans)
Rostership Percentages: ESPN: 11.9% | Yahoo: 46.3% | Sleeper: 48%|
Week 16 Matchup: Houston Texans | Week 17 Matchup: Dallas Cowboys
- If cleared to return from the concussion protocol this week, Burks has decent matchups the next two weeks. While Houston and Dallas play well against the receiver, Burk’s advantage is in target volume with him being the only real receiving threat the Titans have. Keep an eye on his availability.
TEs
Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints)
Rostership Percentages: ESPN: 44.4% | Yahoo: 47% | Sleeper: 35%|
Week 16 Matchup: Cleveland Browns | Week 17 Matchup: Philadelphia Eagles
People forget that Taysom Hill has a cannon 💣💣💣 pic.twitter.com/CwDAZOQaJk
— MyBookie – Bet With The Best (@MyBookie) December 18, 2022
- There’s only one answer at the tight end position off of the waiver wire: Taysom Hill. There’s no other player available at the position in most leagues that provides his scoring upside. He’s posted 12.3 and 10.2 points in the past two weeks. Pick him up, even if it’s to play keep away this week.
D/STs
Denver Broncos
Rostership Percentages: ESPN: 9.5%, Yahoo: 69%, Sleeper: 29%;
Week 16 Matchup: Los Angeles Rams | Week 17 Matchup: Kansas City Chiefs
- The Rams have the WORST offensive line in the NFL. The Broncos are scoring the 5th most points among all fantasy DSTs. It’s pretty simple here, folks!
