Waiver Wire Adds for Week 12

Fantasy In Frames Waiver Wire for Week 12 (2022)

Thanksgiving is coming up, and who wants to worry over fantasy lineups while you’re eating dinner?! Therefore, let me help with that. Here is your guide for who are the MAJOR Waiver Wire Adds in Week 12. For a more comprehensive list, check out my waiver wire rankings here.

QBs

Marcus Mariota (Atlanta Falcons) | Consensus Rostership: 46.2%, Week 12 Matchup: Washington Commanders

Mariota has been one of the better redzone quarterbacks in the NFL. His rushing upside inside the 20 can give him weekly QB1 value in deeper leagues.

Taylor Heinicke (Washington Commanders) | Consensus Rostership: 18.3%, Week 12 Matchup: Atlanta Falcons

Heinicke has won the locker room as well as the coaching staff. With the weapons around him, he could be a viable option in fantasy.

RBs

Alexander Mattison (Minnesota Vikings) | Consensus Rostership: 30.6%, Week 12 Matchup: New England Patriots

Mattison should be on rosters that have Dalvin Cook and rosters that don’t have Dalvin Cook. If Cook were to miss any time, Mattison is an immediate RB1.

Eno Benjamin (Houston Texans) | Consensus Rostership: 27.7%, Week 12 Matchup: Miami Dolphins

The Dameon Pierce honeymoon may be coming to a slow end. He has become less productive over the last 3 weeks, which may give way for newly signed Texan Eno Benjamin to steal some of that workload.

Latavius Murray (Denver Broncos) | Consensus Rostership: 28.4%, Week 12 Matchup: Carolina Panthers

The Broncos just released Melvin Gordon, who has had a pretty big workload since Javonte Williams tore his ACL. Murray should slide right into that RB1 role for Denver.

WRs

Donovan Peoples-Jones (Cleveland Browns) | Consensus Rostership: 41.6%, Week 12 Matchup: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Peoples-Jones is tied with Amari Cooper for the highest target share on the Browns in the past three weeks. He also has scored at least ten fantasy points since week 6. DPJ’s workload can make him a low-end flex play.

Treylon Burks (Tennessee Titans) | Consensus Rostership: 21.4%, Week 12 Matchup: Cincinnati Bengals

Burks finally had his breakout game this year, seven catches for 111 yards on Thursday against the Packers. He is clearly the WR1 and should be rostered in all leagues.

Darius Slayton (New York Giants) | Consensus Rostership: 35.8%, Week 12 Matchup: Dallas Cowboys

Slayton will most likely take the role of WR1 for the Giants with Wan’Dale Robinson out for the season. He could have solid fantasy games with his chemistry with Daniel Jones.

TEs

Foster Moreau (Las Vegas Raiders) | Consensus Rostership: 13.4%, Week 11 Matchup: Denver Broncos

The Seahawks allow the most fantasy points to TEs. The Raiders will find a way to get Moreau more involved in this offense.

Mike Gesicki (Miami Dolphins) | Consensus Rostership: 42.8%, Week 12 Matchup: Houston Texans

Any starting position on the Dolphins should be rostered. This is such a high-octane offense that almost everyone can be viable in fantasy football, even Mike Gesicki

Juwan Johnson (New Orleans Saints) | Consensus Rostership: 24.4%, Week 12 Matchup: San Francisco 49ers

Johnson has had a TD in all of his last three games. He is clearly trusted in this offense. He could be a great start in deeper leagues.

DSTs

Pittsburgh Steelers | Consensus Rostership: 38.7%, Week 12 Matchup: Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are way less of a dynamic offense than the Bengals. The Steelers should have a much easier time on defense.

Miami Dolphins | Consensus Rostership: 24.4%, Week 12 Matchup: Houston Texans

While the Dolphins’ defense hasn’t been all that, neither has Davis Mills. The Texans are bound to give a few turnovers to Miami. This defense should do just enough.

Kansas City Chiefs | Consensus Rostership: 24.4%, Week 12 Matchup: Los Angeles Rams

The Rams have been in shambles since Cooper Kupp got injured. The Chiefs may very well take advantage of this matchup on offense and defense.
