It is upon us. The end of one journey and the beginning of another. We have reached the final week of the regular season, and for those who are making that final push to clinch a playoff berth….this is it.
One way or another this is the end to one very amazing portion of the 2019 fantasy football season, and hopefully, with our guidance, knowledge, and insight you have clinched a playoff berth, are in a position to clinch one, or at the very least enjoyed your run this season.
That being said no matter what your situation is there is still fantasy football to play between weeks 13 and 16 of the fantasy football season. So bear down, focus, and get ready to stamp your way to victory this week.
As I do every week I present to you players that I believe will give you the leg up on your competition this week

As always when discussing fantasy point production we’re referring to 0.5 PPR scoring. IDP fantasy point scoring is solely based on our very own IDP scoring rubric which will be presented to you when we discuss IDPs later on in the article.
Here are my 4-EYED PREVIEWS for Week 13
Quarterback: Sam Darnold will have another strong fantasy performance against the Bengals
Over the past four weeks leading up to the fantasy playoffs, Sam Darnold has averaged 22 fantasy points per game and this week faces a Bengals team that ranks 30th in receiving coverage, 22nd in pass-rushing, 6th in total fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks this season, and allows an average of 22.1 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. In other words, let the good times with Darnold roll you into victory this week!
Running Back: Jonathan Williams’ performances are not a fluke and should be started this week
Since filling in for an injured Marlon Mack, Jonathan Williams has averaged 17.4 fantasy points per game, 110 rushing yards per game, and 21.5 total touches per game. In week 12, the Colts felt so strongly about William’s abilities that they gave him the ball a whopping 26 times and he rewarded them with 104 rushing yards. 1 touchdown, 3 receptions, and 19.6 fantasy points. In week 13 the Colts take on the Titans who just got eviscerated by Leonard Fournette and the Jaguars running game. On the season, the Titans have allowed 18.6 fantasy points per game and despite their high defensive rating against the run and in the tackling department will have to contend with the 2nd best run-blocking unit in the NFL. Williams has as an A rating (90.4) on PFF and is in line for another solid outing this week.
Wide Receiver: D.K Metcalf is definitely FLEX worthy this week against the Vikings
This week DK Metcalf finds himself in a favorable matchup facing off against Xavier Rhodes and the Minnesota Vikings secondary. Shocking, right?! What has HAPPENED to Xavier Rhodes?! I’m not sure be he only has a 49.1 rating at cornerback this season which is a failing grade in terms player performance. When targeted he’s allowed a 124.6 passer rating and allows 11.2 yards per reception. On the season the Vikings are 6th in fantasy points allowed to fantasy wide receivers with 25.9 fantasy points per game and are 10th in the league among allowing the most fantasy points to left wide receivers, where Metcalf plays. Start DK in what should be a sneaky shoot out this week.
Tight End: Jared Cook is in line for another solid fantasy performance on Thanksgiving
Over the past five weeks, Jared Cook has averaged 12.6 fantasy points per game and this week finds himself in a favorable matchup with safety Damontae Kazee of the Atlanta Falcons. From within the 10-yard line Cook is 6th in the league among tight ends in fantasy points scored and in what should be a “grind it out” type of game for the Saints and Falcons look for Cook to be the primary beneficiary of targets when the Saints are in scoring position. The Falcons themselves only allow 7 fantasy points per game to the position, but given that Cook is 2nd on the team in targets and the last time he faced the Falcons he scored 10.4 fantasy points, 6 receptions, and 74 yards receiving he should be in line for similar production this week.
IDP OF THE WEEK
Linebacker: Devin White should have a field day against the Jags on Sunday
Over the past four weeks, Devin White has averaged 15.2 fantasy points per game, 23 solo tackles to 16 assisted tackles, 9.8 total tackles per game, and will now face a run-heavy Jaguars team that 26th in run-blocking (odd right?!). He should be in for another solid outing this week!
Those are my 4-EYED PREVIEWS for WEEK 13!
Good luck this week, folks! May the fantasy football gods bless all of you with victory!
