#1 Dontayvion Wicks

2023 Season Stats

  • Games Played: 15
  • Targets/Receptions/Yards: 58/39/581
  • Touchdowns: 4
  • Non-PPR: 80.8
  • Half-PPR: 100.3
  • Full-PPR: 119.8

2024 Season Stats

  • Games Played: 4
  • Targets/Receptions/Yards: 22/8/104
  • Touchdowns: 3
  • Non-PPR: 28.4
  • Half-PPR: 32.4
  • Full-PPR: 36.4

Week 4 Opponent

  • LA Rams

My number one flex option for this week is Dontayvion Wicks. I have been waiting for this player to have his opening for more snaps. He has been showing flashes since last season. Wicks has made a lot of plays when he was on the field. The problem is that the crowded wide receiver room of Green Bay kept him off the field more than I think he should have been. From weeks 1-3 he has been on the field for 46.3% of the snaps and in week 4 he was on the field for 76.3% of the snaps and that is because Christian Watson left the game with an injury. He also earned 13 targets last week as well. The Packers are playing an LA Rams defense that is ranked 20th against the pass giving up 219.8 yards per game in the air. Wicks should be a smash this week in the flex and as long as Watson is off the field he should be in flex consideration from here on.

#2 Brian Thomas Jr.

2024 Season Stats

  • Games Played: 4
  • Targets/Receptions/Yards: 26/17/275
  • Touchdowns: 2
  • Non-PPR: 40.8
  • Half-PPR: 49.3
  • Full-PPR: 57.8

Week 5 Opponent

  • Indianapolis Colts

My number two flex option for this week is Brian Thomas. I have been watching this dude for weeks now strictly for his playing time. He has made plays while on the field. He looks like he has become Trevor Lawerence’s number-one read in this offense. He has seen 75% of the snap share in this offense with 180 snaps putting him third on the team with that percentage but he is seeing a 21.3% target share. Putting him number 2 on the team in that metric with only Christian Kirk seeing more but not by much with Kirk having 29 targets and Thomas getting 26. They are playing the Colts this week who are ranked 25th against the pass. Brian Thomas is also a smash for this weekend against this weak Colts pass defense. His ceiling could reach high-end WR2 numbers.

#3 Josh Downs

2023 Season Stats

  • Games Played: 17
  • Targets/Receptions/Yards: 98/68/771
  • Touchdowns: 2
  • Non-PPR: 89.1
  • Half-PPR: 123.1
  • Full-PPR: 157.1

2024 Season Stats

  • Games Played: 2
  • Targets/Receptions/Yards: 14/11/104
  • Touchdowns: 1
  • Non-PPR: 16.4
  • Half PPR: 21.9
  • Full-PPR: 27.4

Week 5 Opponent

  • Jacksonville Jaguars

My number three flex option for the week is in the same game as my second flex option, Josh Downs. Downs has been injured in two games this year. Last season before Anthony Richardson got injured for the season he built a pretty good rapport with Downs. Since Downs has been back on the field this year he has commanded the second most targets on the team in two games. He is currently tied with Alec Pierce with 14 of them. I think that is going to change this week. They are playing against the Jags this week who give up the 2nd most passing yards in the NFL. Downs will make a great flex option this week.

#4 Justice Hill

2023 Season Stats

  • Games Played: 16
  • Rushing Attempts/Yards/YPC: 84/387/4.6
  • Touchdowns: 3
  • Targets/Receptions/Yards: 39/28/206
  • Receiving Touchdowns: 1
  • Non-PPR: 81.3
  • Half-PPR: 95.3
  • Full-PPR: 109.3

2024 Season Stats

  • Games Played: 4
  • Rushing Attempts/Yards/YPC: 14/76/5.4
  • Touchdowns: 0
  • Targets/Receptions/Yards: 18/16/161
  • Receiving Touchdowns: 1
  • Non-PPR: 29.7
  • Half-PPR: 37.7
  • Full-PPR: 45.7

Week 5 Opponent

  • Cincinnati Bengals

Justice Hill is my number four flex option. He is another one I have been keeping my close eye on throughout the weeks and to me he has proven to have standalone value even with Derrick Henry being the lead back in this offense. Through four weeks Hill has seen a 17% target share and is tied for second on the team with 18 targets. Only pass catcher with more in Zay Flowers. He will be matched up against a Bengals defense that is ranked 25th on the ground and 11th through the air. He is a good flex option this week and in a pinch, you could throw him in your flex even if you are the Derrick Henry owner.

Again, my name is Preston Evans, “The Fantasy Football Homeboy.” Thank you for checking out my Flex Play article for Week 5 and good luck in your Fantasy Football Leagues this week. You can read more of my content on Twitter/X @PJ2082 and Fantasy In Frames.
