#1 Tyler Boyd Vs. The Texans
Tyler Boyd has been known to get hyper-targeted when either Chase or Higgins is not playing. This week, Tee Higgins has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury. Last week against the Bills, Boyd saw an 89% snap share. With all three of the Bengals receivers healthy, look for that share to hit 100% this week with Higgins being inactive. With the Texans being ranked 24th against opposing offenses, look to Boyd having at least a WR3 performance.
#2 Jahan Dotson Vs. The Seahawks
For the past three weeks, Dotson has been targeted ten times and came down with eight for 108 yards and a TD in Week 8; eight times with four receptions for 69 yards and a TD in Week 9. The Commanders have finally decided that Dotson is a beast, and we need to feed him more targets. This could become a trend that should carry on to Week 10 against the 20th-ranked Seahawk defense against the pass. Plus, with the Commanders unloading a lot of their defensive weapons before the trade deadline, Howell is probably going to air it out a lot. Dotson should be a nice ticket in your FLEX spot that could turn around and give you WR2 numbers.
#3 Khalil Shakir Vs. The Broncos
Since the week that Dawson Knox went down, Shakir has had a huge uptick in snaps. Before Week 8, his highest snap share was 39%. Then, in Week 8, it went up to 64%, and in Week 9, 72%. Through the season so far, he has 19 targets with 18 receptions for 229 yards and 1 TD. The Bills will be going against the 27th-ranked defense against the pass. It looks like Josh Allen will have a field day against the Broncos, and Shakir should be a part of that.
#4 Demario Douglas Vs. The Colts
Douglas seems to be the best thing that the Patriots have at wideout right now, and they are finally utilizing him. For the past two weeks, Douglas has seen 14 targets and has caught 10 of them. He is 23rd overall in separation throughout the NFL. Other than the Commanders last week, this could be the softest coverage that Douglas has seen since getting the snap share uptick. We might see the Douglas breakout this week, but if we don’t, he will still make a great FLEX option.
#5 Calvin Ridley Vs. The 49ers
Now, I know Ridley has not lived up to the WR1 that we have expected him to be. He has only had two WR2 weeks and one WR1 week. What we need to do is just lower our expectations a little on him. At this point, a lot of managers have either traded him or are now warming the bench on your rosters. This week, coming off of the bye against the 19th-ranked Niners against the pass might be a good time to FLEX him. He is still receiving a 22% target share and is still getting an 84.8% snap share.
