Nurse Courtney with Week 9’s Fantasy Football CPR

Nurse Courtney with Week 9’s Fantasy Football CPR class is here this week just in time to help your fantasy football team breathe new life.

I’m a nurse by trade, but I love making fantasy football content, so why not combine my two passions? Each week, I want to talk about players who had a “revival” and helped your team or not because they were on the bench.

Well, I wasn’t right about JuJu Smith-Schuster last week, as he was injured, and then the Chiefs traded for DeAndre Hopkins from the Titans. Hopkins looked decent with 29 yards, and he will only get better as he builds rapport with Mahomes.

I was right about Hunter Henry, however, and was very impressed with his target share in New England. He was the number one receiving option before Maye’s concussion, and with Brissett, he became the number two receiving option behind Boutte. I expect Henry to continue to be a tremendous plug-and-play every week.

This week, I’ll discuss who should be added to or removed from your roster’s bench.

Let’s find out which spooky highlights are in store for us this Halloween week!

Bo Nix, QB Denver

I am an avid Saints fan, and I still love Coach Sean Payton.  Watching what he is doing with Bo Nix is so much fun.  I mean, the kid is proving to be a very capable QB with four rushing TDs on the season, and I expect that number to only increase.   He is finding ways to extend plays with his legs, and let’s get serious: mobile QBs are the way to go in fantasy football. This week, Nix and the Broncos face the Baltimore Ravens’ defense, making him not as valuable as a starting option, but in the following weeks, his schedule is very forgiving. If he’s available on your league’s waiver wire and your team is hurting at the Quarterback position, give your team the Heimlich Maneuver and help bring it back to life by adding Bo Nix.

Taysom Hill, TE/QB Saints

Ok, hear me out.  I know as a fan, I am close to wearing a paper bag over my head and calling us the “Aint’s” again, but Taysom Hill is healthy and he is the answer we need right now.  Derek Carr is practicing, and they are hoping to have him back under center soon, but the Saints desperately need a spark. The defense cannot continue to be the only bright spot.  So, this week versus the Carolina Panthers, Coach Dennis Allen needs to really shake things up and allow Hill to run routes, switch it up with Kamara, and be the big target alongside Olave in the endzone.  If Carr can’t play, Hill must start over Rattler and Haener.  For the love of Halloween, Dennis Allen make things better!  If Hill is available, grab him because when he is healthy, he is a difference-maker on this offense.

Happy Halloween, y’all. This Thursday’s Halloween game is the Texans vs. the Jets, and I foresee in my crystal ball that, once again, Rodgers will have no answers. He will have all the tricks, while Stroud and the Texans will have the treats!
