IDP Waiver Wire Targets for Week 12 (2021)

With Khalil Mack and Akiem Hicks both out for Week 11, Robert Quinn absolutely stepped up and dominated! Quinn has now put up double-digit scoring in 6 of 9 weeks. In the last matchup vs the Lions, Quinn had 5 pressures, 1 sack, and 4 tackles. The Bears will forego the traditional turkey dinner and instead have Lion on the menu!

Preston Smith-Green Bay Packers

With both Rashan Gary and Za'Darius Smith absent, it has been Preston Smith that has stepped up! Over the past 2 weeks, Smith has had 16 pressures, 3 sacks, and 12 hurries! Week 12 might not be the best, and he doesn't collect a ton of tackles, but ride the wave while he is hot!

Leighton Vander Esch & Keanu Neal

Yes, I know I am letting you choose your player in this recommendation, but it could be the game of "whoever is available". There is a good chance that Neal is available after seeing his snaps continue to dip but after the increased presence of Micah Parsons on the DL (59/60 snaps on DL in Week 11) we saw Neal play 100% of the snaps.

I am, for one, not impressed with the actual production for both LVE and Neal, but with the injury to Cox, it appears that we are bound to see them both on the field for plenty of snaps on Thanksgiving. Speaking of Thanksgiving, the Cowboys are going to feast on a Raiders offense that has been very "giving" to opposing LB on the season. Add in the fact that Derek Carr has limited the deep ball and has taken more shots underneath just gives both LBs an elevated tackle floor.

Quincy Williams-New York Jets

It feels like deja vu!! Yes, I should have included Quincy in the previously mentioned, but it feels like he has played himself back into the main article! After Quincy's 4 week stretch between weeks 2 & 5, where he averaged 7 tackles a game and added in a sack, he saw his snaps vanish and was relegated to a bench role. Fast forward to Week 11 and we see Jarrad Davis play poor enough that Saleh put Williams back in the lineup, and he responded in a pretty 'thankful" way....15 tackles!

Williams isn't just making this list because he saw 87% of the snaps. He isn't on here because of his 15 tackles, his whopping 7 defensive stops, or his sack and 3 pressures that were taken away as a result of a penalty. He isn't even on here because he has a very friendly schedule moving forward and his team is always on defense. While these are all solid reasons to add Quincy Williams, quite possibly the most advantageous reason is that he is DB eligible in many leagues while playing his snaps at an LB. Enjoy the cheat code if you have it!

That wraps up Week 12! As I mentioned earlier, I can't begin to express how THANKFUL that I am to have you read this article, week in and week out! If you have any players that have helped you win courtesy of this article series, I would love to hear your stories!
