Welcome to our IDP Start & Sit article for Week 15 of the 2023 fantasy football season!
Hey everyone, it’s Nate Marcum!. Whether you’re newer to IDP or have been playing for years, my goal of these starts and sits is to provide you with stud picks I’m a huge fan of each week, from your top-tier players to play in your shallow leagues down to deeper league options. However, with the good picks come the ones I am less high on that you should consider alternatives for each week. You can check out my back-to-back Top 10 Fantasy Pros ECR Competition rankings here at Fantasy In Frames weekly to help give you the winning edge to your weekly matchups!
*Disclaimer*
Since we’re late getting this out to you this week, we’ll give you some of our favorite STARTS of the week!
Defensive Linemen
Starts
Bradley Chubb (MIA) vs. NYJ
- In Week 14, Chubb had a team-leading 32.4% win rate and 26.5% pressure rate, tallying 5 total tackles, 2 QB Hits, 1 PD, and 1 FR.
- Over the past three weeks, Chubb has a team-leading 13 total pressures and will be an excellent fantasy option against the Jets, who can’t block anyone.
Sam Hubbard (CIN) vs. MIN
- While Hubbard has been on a downward swing lately, he does have a decent matchup now, with Vikings Brian O’Neil being out of the lineup for Saturday’s matchup.
- Consider Hubbard a “break glass in case of emergency” play.
Alex Highsmith (PIT) @ INDY
- While The Colts’ offensive line has one of the lowest sack conversion rates in the NFL, Left Tackle Bernhard Raimann has the most pressures allowed by a Colts offensive lineman in the past three weeks and the most sacks allowed.
- Fire Highsmith up with confidence on Saturday!
Derrick Brown (CAR) vs. ATL
- Versus an average interior offensive line of The Falcons, Defensive Tackle Derrick Brown and his high tackle floor will pay dividends for fantasy managers in Week 15 as the Falcons LOVE to run the ball.
- In fact, the last time they played each other in Week 1, Brown had eight solo tackles and a sack for 21 points in FantasyPros IDP scoring.
Linebackers
Starts
Tremaine Edmunds (CHI) @ CLE
- Edmunds, since returning from injury, should have been a locked-in starter for fantasy managers. In his past three games played, he has tallied 20 total tackles, 2 PDs, 2 INTs, and has averaged 15.6 PPG in FantasyPros IDP scoring.
- Fire him up against a run-heavy team like The Browns.
Ivan Pace (MIN) @ CIN
- Over the past three weeks, Pace has been the LB2 in tackles made per opportunity, and according to FantasyPros IDP scoring, he ranks as the LB1 in fantasy points per game with a 28 PPG average during that time.
- With Vikings utilizing three safeties on the field most of the time, that leaves the majority of snap work for Pace.
- Keep firing him up this week!
Markquese Bell (DAL) @ BUF
- Bell has cemented himself as the LB2 on this Dallas roster. Given his dual eligibility on most fantasy platforms at DB and LB, he is a fantastic cheat code of the player for fantasy managers.
- Fire him up in your DB spot and expect linebacker production.
Defensive Backs
Starts
Rayshawn Jenkins (JAX) vs. BAL
- Snaps, Snaps, and Snaps! Jenkins has dominated box snaps at the safety position for the Jaguars.
- Over the past three weeks, he’s had 22 total tackles (15 solo/ 7 assisted) for an average of 11.1 fantasy points per game in FantasyPros IDP scoring.
- The Ravens have allowed the 4th most tackles to the safety position on the season, making Jenkins a fantastic play this week.
P.J. Locke (DEN) @ DET
- Assuming he’s healthy enough to play, you have to start P.J. Locke based on his box snap percentage and fantasy points per game during his time as a starter.
- Detroit is allowing the 5th most tackles to safeties, so fire up Locke this week.
Jalen Thompson/Budda Baker (ARI) vs. SF
- Two ELITE IDP tackling Defensive Backs going up against a 49ers team that allows the second most tackles to safeties?! Fire them BOTH up confidently!
