IDP Fantasy Football Starts for Week 8
Welcome to our IDP Fantasy Football Starts for Week 8 of the 2022 fantasy football season!
Unlike our Fantasy Football Starts & Sits on offense, given the broad range of IDP scoring settings available to people that can throw a player’s perceived value through a loop, for our IDP section, we’ll just be recommending to you players you should consider starting this week based on the potential for high statistical output and positional 1,2, or 3 relevance assuming you’re rolling three deep on your starting roster per positional designation. So sit back, relax and enjoy our IDP Fantasy Football Starts for Week 8!
Defensive Backs
START: Kamren Curl versus The Indianapolis Colts
169 to 55. That’s the number of box snaps to free safety snaps Kamren Curl has this season. The DB21 over the past two weeks has tallied 12 total tackles, 1 sack, and back to back 11.5 fantasy points in that time period. Indy is allowing the most fantasy points to the safety position this season. This is a no brainer folks!
Additional Starting Candidates: Julian Love vs. The Seattle Seahawks, Jalen Ramsey vs. The Los Angeles Rams, and Jaquan Brisker vs. The Dallas Cowboys
Defensive Lineman
START: Samson Ebukam versus The Los Angles Rams
Last time the Rams took on the 49ers, Ebukam posted 4 total tackles and 2 sacks for a total of 19.8 points. Not shocking as the Rams have the worst rated offensive line in all of lines in the NFL. This week with the majority of the attention being on Nick Bosa look for Ebukam to have another productive matchup this week.
Additional Starting Candidates: Von Miller vs. The Green Bay Packers, Uchenna Nwosu vs. The New York Giants, and Haason Reddick vs. The Pittsburgh Steelers
Linebackers
START: Alex Anzalone versus The Miami Dolphins
Miami is allowing 30.08 PPG to opposing ILBs on the season and Anzalone has been the far more productive linebacker for this linebacking corps in Detroit. While the rest of the IDP community is hoping for rookie Malcolm Rodriguez to take the reigns as the top IDP tackle machine in Detroit, it’s the veteran Anzalone who has been the model of tackle consistency for the Lions. Look for him to maintain that consistency this week.
Additional Starting Candidates: Jordan Hicks vs. The Arizona Cardinals, Rashaan Evans vs. The Carolina Panthers, and David Long Jr. vs. The Houston Texans
