Favorable IDP Matchups for Week 7 (2021)

Each week we’ll be taking a look at the upcoming NFL games and giving you our take on which IDPs have the most favorable matchups and who you should be considering starting in your fantasy football teams.

Let’s get started for Week 7

Cameron Jordan (Defensive Line/Edge)-New Orleans Saints

I, for one, have given up on Cameron Jordan as being the dominant Defensive End that he once was. Week 7 will be the week to forgive him for his recent lack of success. Jordan will look to keep his pressure rate at or above the 10% mark while hunting for that elusive 1st sack of the season! To date, Jordan leads the NFL with the most pressures without a sack (21).

The matchup this week pits Cameron Jordan against RT Brandon Shell and should equate to 5+ pressures and his first sack on the season! If there is any additional ingredient in this sack-heavy dish, it would be the welcome addition of Marcus Davenport. Davenport has missed the previous 4 games and brings some solid pressure to the opposite side of the line!

Nick Bolton (Linebacker)-Kansas City Chiefs

If there is a game that is designed to show the importance of the Bolton draft pick, this is the week. For starters, the Chiefs will face the best RB in the league, in a game with an over/under of nearly 60 points. There will be plenty of action, and Nick Bolton is built to be right in the middle of all of it!

Bolton currently leads all rookies in tackles and is coming off of a 9 tackle performance in Week 6 against the Football Team. The 9 tackles are amazing, but the fact that he did that while only playing 66% of the snaps is jaw-dropping!

Anthony Hitchens is going to miss Week 7, which leads me to believe that Bolton could see 80%+ of the snaps. With a healthy dose of snaps, and a healthy dose of Derrick Henry, double-digit tackles are a distinct possibility!

Khari Willis (Defensive Back)-Indianapolis Colts

The Sunday night matchup between the Colts and the 49ers has all the makings for a slugfest with heavy points to the MLB and Safeties in the box! With heavy rains and sloppy conditions, look for Willis to roam in the box often!

Coming off of one of the best games of his short career (9 tackles, 1 sack, 1 PD, 1 FR, 1 QB hit), Willis is looking to exploit a San Fransisco offense that is averaging 28 rush attempts per game. Willis has played in the box on nearly 50% of the snaps and ranks in the top 15 among safeties in rushing play tackles.

Look for Willis to be at or around the ball carrier the entire game, and could easily find himself among the leaders at DB in Week 7!
