With that out of the way, let’s get down to business and discuss some of the most favorable IDP matchups for Week 10 of the 2021 fantasy football season!

Josh Sweat-Philadelphia Eagles

Josh Sweat enters Week 10 in one of the most favorable matchups on paper when the Eagles face the Denver Broncos. The Broncos enter this matchup as banged up across the Offensive Line as any team in football, most notably on the right side. In addition to LT Garrett Bolles, both Bobby Mackie (RT) and Graham Glasgow (RG) will not suit up on Sunday.

While Josh Sweat might not have needed the advantageous matchups, it just further cements the prime matchup! Regardless of the game script that the Broncos will deploy, Sweat should be in a position to succeed. If he is rushing the passer, his 4th highest pass-rush win rate (per ESPN) will get the job done. But, if the Broncos decide to keep the game on the ground, Sweat hasn’t been a slouch against the run either. To date, Sweats’ 20 run-play tackles rank him in the top 15 among Edge rushers.

Chandler Jones-Arizona Cardinals

Let’s hope the ship has been righted with Chandler Jones! After his Week 1 dominance, where he recorded 5 sacks and scored 62 fantasy points, Jones hasn’t combined for that many points in all the weeks combined. Yes, the COVID-19 incident kept him off the field for two weeks, but he has been a huge letdown regardless. But have no fear, last week he reminded us of the type of dominant force that he can be with a sack and 2 QB hits.

This week, the Cardinals and Jones will get to face the Carolina Panthers with their team lacking a cohesive offensive line. Unfortunately for the Panthers, (LT) Cameron Erving and (C) Matt Paradis are both out for this contest. Last week, after Erving left the game, the Panthers slid Dennis Daley from Guard to Tackle, resulting in 4 pressures and a sack. Yes, the Panthers will look to get the ball out of PJ Walker’s hands quickly, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jones keep the sack streak alive.

*side note*. The fact that the NFL fined him $10k for showing respect to Arizona legend, Freddie Joe Nunn, after passing his sack record is ridiculous!

Myles Jack-Jacksonville Jaguars

*Myles Jack is fired up after the most recent Jags loss and should come out fired up against the Bills. Let me be clear, I don’t think that Jack will do enough to keep this game close, but it’s the IDP matchup that we need! The Bills should be able to absolutely control this game and keep the Jags’ defense on the field for the majority of the game!*

The above was what I had written in my Prime Matchup article for Myles Jack that I left on the cutting room floor. I was partially correct in my assessment that he would have an impact, seeing that he recorded 7 tackles, 1 TFL, and a QB hit. What I didn’t expect was that he would do that in a Win over the Bills.

This week, Jack will have another plus matchup against the Colts. The Colts’ high-volume rush attack, coupled with Wentz’s 8.4 ADOT should lead to a tackle-heavy script for Myles Jack. Dating back to Week 1, the Colts have allowed at least 1 interior LB each week to total no less than 7tackles in all but 1 game.

Jeremy Chinn-Carolina Panthers

If you didn’t make your trade offers to your league-mates for Jeremy Chinn yet, your time is running out! This week Chinn gets another tasty matchup against the hobbled Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals might be without Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, and Rondale Moore. Last week, without Murray under center, the Cardinals had a 38:32 run: pass ratio. Without Chase Edmonds, James Conner is being leaned on even heavier. Jeremy Chinn absolutely takes advantage of high rush volume teams, as he leads all S with run-play tackles! He is actually 3rd among all defensive players over the past 3 weeks, trailing only Roquan Smith and Deion Jones.

Look for Chinn to be near the team-high in tackles and get that elusive sack that we have been waiting for! This is definitely the IDP matchup that we need!
