Fantasy Football Starts & Sits for Week 7
Welcome to our Fantasy Football Starts & Sits for Week 7 of the 2022 fantasy football season!
Better late than never, I’ve finally completed my Fantasy Football Starts & Sits for Week 7! Do me a favor, look this over, then look at your lineups, make the appropriate changes, and then either praise me or roast me this coming week after it’s all said and done. I run away from no critique and accept all praise. LOL.
With all that said, let us get down to business!
Quarterback
Start: Jimmy Garoppolo vs. The Kansas City Chiefs
Finishing as the QB9 last week with a season-high 18.9 fantasy points, Jimmy G welcomes to town the Kansas City Chiefs, who have allowed, on average, 22pts to the position on the season. With San Fran getting back Trent Williams this week to help with pass protection, Garoppollo should be safe from harm from this middle-of-the-road pass-rushing unit of KCs.
Add into the mix the 49ers will almost certainly have plays dialed-up for newly acquired running back Christian McCaffery in the passing game look for the 49ers and Jimmy G to exert their offensive will this week.
Additional Start Candidates: Derek Carr vs. The Houston Texans and Kenny Pickett versus The Miami Dolphins
SIT: Taylor Heinicke versus The Green Bay Packers
This selection was more for those who play in 2-QB or SuperFlex leagues and are looking for a QB to start, don’t do this. The Commanders’ offensive line has been poor all season and with this 9th-rated pass-rushing unit looking to get the taste of defeat out of their mouths from losing to the Jets last week, look for Green Bay to limit Heinicke’s upside as your QB2.
Additional Sit Candidates: Justin Fields vs. The New England Patriots and Jared Goff vs. The Dallas Cowboys
Running Backs
START: Ezekiel Elliott versus The Detroit Lions
I think Ezekiel Elliott, for the first time in his career, might be underrated.

Finishing last week’s matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles as the RB11 with 15.1 fantasy points was INSANE. The difficulty of the matchup should have severely limited any upside he could have had, yet here we are.
This week Zeke faces a Lions team that has allowed 26.8 half-PPR fantasy points to the running back position all season on average. Not only are you starting him, but you are also starting him with CONFIDENCE.
Additional Start Candidates: Brian Robinson Jr. vs. The Green Bay Packers and Kareem Hunt vs. The Baltimore Ravens
SIT: Najee Harris versus The Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins have been pretty good at slowing down the opposing team’s rushing attacks, limiting them to just 628 rushing yards on the season. This week should be no different, as Pittsburgh has been atrocious running the ball on the season.
Additional Sit Candidates: D’Onta Foreman vs. The Tampa Bay Buccaneer and James Robinson vs. The Giants
Wide Receivers
START: Jaylen Waddle versus The Pittsburgh Steelers
As if Tyreek Hill wasn’t a big enough of a problem for defenses to deal with, the #Dolphins still have Jaylen Waddle.

He is feasting this season, especially on slants and over routes. Can just run away from defenders on routes. So much open space in the Miami passing game. pic.twitter.com/LbKJ1yjrqd
When Tua has been the starting QB, Waddle has averaged 21.63 fantasy points per game. That’s pretty good, I hear. Lining up against a defense that has allowed the 3rd most receiving yards and the 3rd most receiving TDs on the season to opposing offenses, look for Waddle to EAT this week with Tua back at the helm of this offense!
Additional Starts Candidates: Drake London vs. The Cincinnati Bengals and George Pickens versus The Miami Dolphins
SIT: D.J. Moore versus The Tampa Bay Buccaneers
I mean……come on.
Additional Sit Candidates: Courtland Sutton vs The New York Jets and Amon-Ra St. Brown vs. The Dallas Cowboys
Tight Ends
START: Hayden Hurst versus The Atlanta Falcons
REVENGE GAME: PART 2
The Falcons are allowing the 4th most fantasy points per game to the tight end position on the season, and Hayden Hurst has been a focal point of the Bengals’ passing attack lately. I say he gets on the board once this week with about 50 yards to boot.
Additional Starts Candidates: Gerald Everett vs The Seattle Seahawks and Dalton Schultz vs The Detroit Lions
SIT: Robert Tonyan versus The Washington Commanders
If the Commanders do anything right it’s limiting opposing tight ends in fantasy production. On the season, Washington has only allowed an average of 5.5 points to the position. I see this game for Green Bay going through Allen Lazard and Romeo Doubs this week, not Robert Tonyan.
Additional Sit Candidate: T.J. Hockenson vs The Dallas Cowboys and Daniel Bellinger vs The Jacksonville Jaguars
