Fantasy Football Starts & Sits for Week 14 (2023)

2023 Starts and Sits Week 14 | Fantasy In Frames

Welcome to Fantasy In Frames’ Fantasy Football Starts & Sits for Week 14 (2023)!

Here are my Fantasy Football Starts & Sits for Week 14 (2023).

Start

  1. Josh Dobbs @ LV
  • Getting Justin Jefferson back for this Vikings’ offense automatically increases the fantasy floor for Dobbs, as it allows for more balance and creativity to be on display against the Raiders on Sunday.
  • Don’t let his past few games turn you off completely. Roll with Dobbs this week.
  1. Baker Mayfield @ ATL
  • The Falcons allow, on average, close to 18 PPG to the QB position on the season, and the last time these two teams played, Mayfield posted 17.2 points.
  • Look for Mayfield to break his cold streak as of late and jump back into a solid QB2 play this week.
  1. Jordan Love @ NYG
  • Against one of the best defenses in the NFL last week, Jordan Love posted 267 yards passing for 3 TDs for 23.7 fantasy points.
  • Since Week 11, Love has been the QB4 in fantasy and should have his way with a Giants team that gives up air yards by the handful.

Sit

  1. Matt Stafford @ BAL
  • The Ravens have been very stingy to QBs on the season, allowing, on average, 12.7 PPG to the position. With this defense for the Ravens getting healthier across the board in a potentially bad weather game, fade Stafford this week.
  1. Geno Smith @ SF
  • Late reports heading into this NFC West matchup have Geno dealing with a groin injury. That makes him an automatic sit this week against arguably the best defensive in the NFL.
  1. Will Levis @ MIA
  • While negative game script could be on Levis’ side, his offensive line WILL NOT be this week going against the likes of Andrew Van Ginkel and Bradley Chubb of Miami.

Start

  1. David Montgomery @ CHI
  • Since Week 11, “Monty” has been the RB14 in half PPR scoring. In his last three games played, he’s outsnapped Jahmyr Gibbs, 45 rushing attempts to 27, AND has been more utilized within the 10-yard line than Gibbs.
  • In other words, VOLUME is on his side going forward.
  1. James Cook @ KC
  • 15.4 PPG in half-PPR scoring in the past two games as well as 21 touches on average during that time period.
  • Buffalo looks to have finally committed to Cook, just in time for this matchup against the Chiefs. Roll with him with confidence in this high-powered matchup!
  1. Zack Moss @ CIN
  • The Bengals allow 19.5 PPG to the RB position in half-PPR this season, and as the primary ball-carrier for the Colts, he should be in line for a heavy workload this week.

Sit

  1. Josh Jacobs Vs. MIN
  • The Vikings have allowed the 7th fewest rushing yards to opposing offenses this season with only a 3.2 YPC average. On top of that, they only allowed the 5th fewest fantasy points to the position. Don’t expect a high upside with Jacobs this week.
  1. Devin Singletary @ NYJ
  • With Dameon Pierce returning to the lineup last week, we saw the efficiency remain high with Singletary, but the volume took a drastic hit against Denver.
  • This week against the Jets, in horrible conditions, you might see a SLIGHT bump in volume from last week, but with Pierce back in the lineup, Singletary’s upside is capped.
  1. D’Andre Swift @ DAL
  • Dallas’ defense kept Swift in check the last time they played. Look for more of the same this week and for both offenses to attach through the air this week.

Start

  1. Dontayvion Wicks @ NYG
  • Yes, you’re starting Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs but do not overlook Dontayvion Wicks. When Christian Watson was not in the lineup earlier in the season, we saw Wicks take a more prominent role in terms of yards per game and reception efficiency compared to his counterparts on the team.
  • Against a porous Giants’ secondary, Wicks is in line for a big game.
  1. OBJ vs. LAR
  • Per FTN, The Rams allow the most yardage in the air to number one receiver, with an average of 79.9 yards per game. Against the 3rd worst ranked coverage unit in the NFL, OBJ should return to “classic” OBJ form this week.
  1. Jordan Addison @ LV
  • More attention going Justin Jefferson’s way in Vegas means more opportunities for Jordan Addison. Combined with a favorable matchup against Amik Robertson, Addison should eat for fantasy managers today.

Sit

  1. Adam Thielen @ NO
  • Look for this Saints’ secondary to shut down this receiving game for Carolina. However, I will say that if I had to choose a Panthers WR, it would be Jonathan Mingo, given his targeted volume last week.
  1. Chris Godwin @ ATL
  • I just can’t recommend Godwin this week or any week as of now, unfortunately. It’s clearly the Mike Evans show in Tampa, and for whatever reason, Godwin just hasn’t been producing.
  1. Noah Brown @ NYJ
  • The weather is going to be nasty combined with the fact that the Jets secondary is no joke translates for me that Brown, while he will have upside matchups going forward, will not have much upside this week.

Start

  1. Gerald Evertt vs. DEN
  • He is becoming Herbert’s second favorite reliable target in the receiving game.
  • Combine that with Denver allowing THE MOST fantasy points to the TE position this season, wheels up for Everett in Week 14.
  1. Isaiah Likely vs. LAR
  • The Rams allow the 4th most fantasy points to tight ends and 61.5 yards per game to TEs on average. Look for Likely to have a solid week this week.

Sit

  1. Cade Otton @ ATL
  • While Atlanta has been generous to tight ends from a fantasy PPG standpoint this season, the last time this very generous defense faced Otton, they held him to only 43 yards, receiving 6.8 half-PPR points. I get the tight end position is a wasteland, but surely you have better options on your waiver wire.
  1. Dalton Kincaid @ KC
  • Kansas City is allowing the 5th fewest fantasy points to TEs this season, and with Dawson Knox looking like he’ll be making his return to the lineup this week, Kincaid’s upside might not be as elevated as it has been as of late.

Start

  1. Houston Texans @ NYJ
  • A porous offensive line of the Jets going up against Will Anderson and Jonathan Greenard of the Texans in a nasty weather games makes me favor The Texans DST this week.
  1. New Orleans Saints vs. CAR
  • Per PFF, The Saints rank as the 8th best coverage unit in the NFL. Couple that with the fact that Carolina cannot protect Byrce Young at all, ranking 31st in pass-blocking, look for the Saints pass-rush to hit home in Week 14 and bump up their DST fantasy floor.

Sit

  1. Tennessee Titans @ MIA
  • Against an explosive offense in Miami, you cannot roll with The Titans’ DST
  1. Philadelphia Eagles @ DAL
  • Both teams took it to each other earlier in the season on offense, making this a horrible DST play in Week 14 with playoffs on the line.
