Fantasy Football Starts and Sits Week 10 (2022) Fantasy In Frames

Welcome to our Fantasy Football Starts & Sits for Week 10 of the 2022 fantasy football season!

We’ve made it to the double-digit fantasy weeks, which means we are one step closer to fantasy football playoff time! Contrary to popular opinion, in my opinion, this is not the time of year to be focused on your playoff matchups just yet. You must get to the big dance before you can start clicking those heels. Luckily for you, I’ve found some good matchups to try and avoid to help get you one step closer to making the playoffs this season. Here are my Fantasy Football Starts & Sits for Week 10.

Quarterback

START: Russell Wilson versus The Tennesee Titans

The Titans allow 20.8 PPG to opposing QBs this season and the 3rd most fantasy points to opposing WRs on the season. All of this translates into massive upside for Russell Wilson this week. What makes this pick extra fun is that I believe a lot of the upside for Wilson comes from the new addition to the offensive line with Graham Glasgow at Center. Taking over for Lloyd Cushenberry III in London a few weeks ago, Glasgow was able to call out better protection schemes for Wilson down the stretch of that game as well as on the game-winning drive, allowing Wilson more time in the pocket to deliver the ball down as the offense marched down the field. Look for that to continue this week and for Wilson to put up mid to low QB1 numbers.

Additional Start Candidates: Marcus Mariota versus The Carolina Panthers and Jacoby Brissett versus The Miami Dolphins

SIT: Daniel Jones versus The Houston Texans

The Texans have been playing inspired football as of late, only allowing 13.1 PPG to opposing QBs on the season thus far. That’s not good for Daniel Jones this week, as the Giants have allowed 32 pressures over the last three games played. This is the same Texans team that sacked Jalen Hurts four times in Week 9. The only reason Hurts ended up with a good fantasy week was because he had A.J. Brown and Dallas Goedert to deliver the ball to. Daniel Jones does not. Even with his scrambling upside, I don’t believe it will be enough to warrant a start for you in Week 10.

Additional Sit Candidates: Kirk Cousins versus The Minnesota Vikings and Derek Carr versus The Indianapolis Colts

Running Backs

START: Tony Pollard versus The Green Bay Packers

Green Bay has completely fallen off the rails in almost every facet of their game this year. Last week without De’Vondre Campbell patrolling the middle of the field with Quay Walker, running back Jamaal Williams rushed for 81 yards against this Packers team. The defense is allowing the 5th most rushing yards in the NFL this season as a whole. With Campbell’s status still up in the air this week, things are not looking good for the Packers’ defense.

On the flip side, Tony Pollard has looked every bit the part of the RB1 for the Dallas Cowboys. From Weeks 6-8, Pollard ranks second in breakaway run percentage, has been averaging 17.1 PPG (RB10), and is the RB6 in total points in that time. He’s also third in rushing yards after contact during that time.

Fire him up as your RB1/RB2 this week with confidence.

Additional Start Candidates: D’Andre Swift versus The Chicago Bears and D’Onta Foreman versus The Atlanta Falcons

SIT: Devin Singletary versus The Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings have allowed the 7th fewest rushing yards all season long, they allow the 9th fewest PPG to the RB position, and with Josh Allen being out, potentially due to an elbow injury, this Bills team could look very one-dimensional, making it easier to cap any upside Singletary could have from a volume approach.

Additional Sit Candidates: Antonio Gibson versus The Philadelphia Eagles and James Conner versus The L.A. Rams

Wide Receivers

START: JuJu Smith-Schuster versus The Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are allowing the 6th most passing yards to opposing offenses, giving up 28 PPG to the wide receiver position on average. JuJu’s 13 targets from Weeks 6-8 are just five shy of Travis Kelce’s, which goes to show you how heavily involved in this offense he’s been as of late. His 20.9 PPG average during Weeks 6-8 should definitely get a boost this week and propel him into the WR1 discussion for Week 10.

Additional Start Candidates: Jerry Jeudy versus The Tennessee Titans and DeVonta Smith versus The Washington Commanders

SIT: Michael Pittman versus The Las Vegas Raiders

6.8, 8.8, and 3.7. Those are the half-PPR points Michael Pittman has scored over the past three weeks with abysmal quarterback play. Despite the Raiders being an utter S*** Show this season, the poor play at QB and utter dysfunction as an offense as of late doesn’t make Pittman a must-start this week

Additional Sit Candidates: Adam Thielen versus The Buffalo Bills and Michael Gallup versus The Green Bay Packers

Tight Ends

START: Greg Dulcich versus The Tennessee Titans

Only rostered on 38% on Yahoo and 29% ESPN, and 55% on Sleeper, over his past three games, Greg Dulcich has had the following finishes:

Week 6 vs. LAC (TE9 with 11.4 pts)

Week 7 vs. NYJ (TE12 with 8.1 pts)

Week 8 vs. JAX (TE8 with 10.7 pts)

Russell Wilson is starting to find a REAL rapport with Greg Dulcich, and versus a Titans team allowing the 6th most points to opposing TEs this season, it’s kind of a no-brainer to start him this week.

Additional Start Candidates: Cole Kmet versus The Detroit Lions and Evan Engram versus The Kansas City Chiefs

SIT: Dallas Goedert versus The Washington Commanders

No, this is not my Commanders’ bias kicking in here. Washington is dead last in the league in allowing fantasy points to the TE position this season. The last time they played in Week 3, Goedert only had 26 yards receiving and got bailed out by a TD to get you 10 pts. Believe it or not, this secondary for Washington has been playing better as of late, and so has linebacker Jamin Davis. While the Eagles should “lay the smackdown” on Washington on MNF, it won’t be due to Dallas Goedert this week.

Additional Sit Candidates: Pat Freiermuth versus The New Orleans Saints and Zach Ertz versus The Los Angeles Rams
