We have made it to double digit weeks of the fantasy football season. Last week I hit on running backs the most. Unfortunately, even with a good matchup I missed on Mike Gesicki. He and Jacoby Brissett had been on fire as a duo, but Gesicki finished as a TE2 last week and technically shouldn’t have been started. Now, we head to Week 10 Fantasy Football matchups!

On bye: Chicago Bears, Cincinnati Bengals, New York Giants, and Houston Texans.

Here are your 4-EYED Starts & Sits of the Week!

Quarterbacks

Start: Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Washington Football Team

Brady is going to be well-rested for this one as the Buccs are coming off their bye week. Heading into Week 10, Brady leads the league in touchdown passes, is second in total passing yardage, is graded by PFF as the best passer in the NFL. This week, he draws the Washington Football Team that are giving up the most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Father Time is going to roll this week and is set up for a big game.

Additional Week 10 Fantasy Football Starts:

Derek Carr against the Kansas City Chiefs, Matthew Stafford against the San Francisco 49ers, and Dak Prescott against the Atlanta Falcons.

Sit: Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles against the Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos absolutely shut Dak Prescott down last week in the first three-quarters of the game. They are giving up the second-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. Hurts’ biggest asset is his rushing ability and the Broncos held Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson to only 28 yards rushing. Hurts is going to have a tough time this week.

Additional Week 10 Fantasy Football Sits:

Kirk Cousins against the Los Angeles Chargers, Baker Mayfield against the New England Patriots, and Russell Wilson against the Green Bay Packers.

Running Backs

Start: Javonte Williams, Denver Broncos against the Philadelphia Eagles

Williams has proven that it doesn’t matter if he is going to split carries with Melvin Gordon, he is going to get his work in. The rookie running back had 111 rushing yards on 17 carries last week to finish as the overall RB21 in half-PPR scoring. This week he takes on the Eagles who are giving up the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs.

Additional Week 10 Fantasy Football Starts:

Najee Harris against the Detroit Lions, Alex Collins against the Green Bay Packers, and Devin Singletary against the New York Jets.

Sit: Michael Carter, New York Jets against the Buffalo Bills

Carter started the season looking like a dud but then found his rhythm in Week 5 with his first double-digit fantasy output of the season. After two straight games in Week 7 and 8 of at least nine targets, Carter regressed back to only two targets. The Bills are giving up the fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs.

Additional Week 10 Fantasy Football Sits:

James Robinson against the Indianapolis Colts, Jamaal Williams against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Adrian Peterson against the New Orleans Saints.

Wide Receivers

Start: Marquise Brown, Baltimore Ravens against the Miami Dolphins

I just want to highlight what Brown has done this year. I don’t think anyone else has improved more than Brown in regards to fantasy football. Through eight games, Brown already has more fantasy points than he did his entire rookie season and he is only 27 points shy of his total from last season. He has double-digit fantasy points in six games this season and now faces a Dolphins defense giving up the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing receivers.

Additional Week 10 Fantasy Football Starts:

Marquez Callaway against the Tennessee Titans, Chris Godwin against the Washington Football Team, and Keenan Allen against the Minnesota Vikings.

Sit: Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings against the Los Angeles Chargers

Mr. Regression himself is making the list of sits this week. Here is my problem for his sustainability going forward. He had two receptions last game for a total of six yards and he happened to wind up in the endzone for one of them. Thielen is teetering on being touchdown-dependent and this week takes on a Chargers defense giving up the second-fewest fantasy points per game to receivers. In fact, they have only given up double-digit fantasy points twice.

Additional Week 10 Fantasy Football Sits:

Courtland Sutton against the Philadelphia Eagles, DeAndre Hopkins against the Carolina Panthers, Tyler Lockett against the Green Bay Packers.

Tight Ends

Start: Noah Fant, Denver Broncos against the Philadelphia Eagles

It’s Noah Fant Week Bay-Bay! The Eagles defense has given up at least one receiving touchdown to the opposing tight end every week since Week 3. Fant can’t let this streak die. They are giving up the most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends. Fant can do this, you just have to believe!

Additional Week 10 Fantasy Football Starts:

Mike Gesicki against the Baltimore Ravens, Tyler Conklin against the Los Angeles Chargers, and Logan Thomas against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Sit: Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles against the Denver Broncos

There was hope that Goedert could be unlocked when Zach Ertz was traded away from the Eagles, but it hasn’t really happened. He does have at least 70 yards in two of his last three games, but he doesn’t have sustained usage in this offense. The Broncos defense is giving up the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends. They haven’t given up a double-digit performance all season and I don’t think they start now. They also haven’t given up a touchdown to a tight end yet this year.

Additional Week 10 Fantasy Football Sits:

Adam Trautman against the Tennessee Titans, Jared Cook against the Minnesota Vikings, and Tyler Higbee against the San Francisco 49ers.

WE ARE CHANGING OUR IDP SCORING FORMAT! We are abandoning IDP123 and we are going with FantasyPros IDP scoring the rest of the season!

With IDP options being so plentiful in fantasy football, each week we’re going to list for you an option at each position with honorable mentions to help set your lineups with confidence.

Defensive Linemen

Start: Haason Reddick, Carolina Panthers against the Arizona Cardinals

Reddick leads the Panthers in sacks and actually is tied for third in the NFL. His teammate Brian Burns is dealing with an ankle injury so the Panthers are going to need to rely on Reddick in this one. The Cardinals are a worse run-blocking team than pass-blocking and if quarterback Kyler Murray is still banged up they are going to try to lean on the run game. This should benefit Reddick.

Additional Week 10 Fantasy Football Starts:

Josh Allen against the Indianapolis Colts, Cameron Jordan against the Tennessee Titans, and Cameron Heyward against the Detroit Lions.

Linebackers

Start: Denzel Perryman, Las Vegas Raiders against the Kansas City Chiefs

If you aren’t riding the Perryman PainTrain then what are you even doing at this point? Perryman is literally everywhere on the field for the defense and he is going to have a huge role in trying to shut down the intermediate passing of the Chiefs offense. He leads the NFL in total tackles and he has at least seven tackles in every game this season.

Additional Week 10 Fantasy Football Starts:

De’Vondre Campbell against the Seattle Seahawks, Darius Leonard against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Devin White against the Washington Football Team.

Defensive Backs

Start: Derwin James Jr., Los Angeles Chargers against the Minnesota Vikings

James has been a staple of the Chargers secondary this season. This week he is going to have to deal with shutting down Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen and I think he is up to the task. James is tied for sixth among all defensive backs for total tackles. They also like to take advantage of his versatility and blitz the safety. He is tied for the lead in sacks by a defensive back.

Additional Week 10 Fantasy Football Starts:

Budda Baker against the Carolina Panthers, Kevin Byard against the New Orleans Saints, and Jeremy Chinn against the Arizona Cardinals.
