This is Preston Evans, your Fantasy Homeboy here. You can catch all of my content on X @PJ2082 and check out all of the great content by our outstanding crew on the Fantasy In Frames website and on YouTube. Here are my Fantasy Football Flex Plays for Week 7 (2023).

#1 Elijah Moore Vs. The Colts

This week you could fire up Elijah Moore. This a smash play if Deshaun Watson is cleared to play and is an okay option if  P.J. Walker is at the helm. The Colts are giving up 243.7 yards in passing per game, which ranks them number 23 against the pass. Moore through five games has 36 targets and has hauled in 21 of those for 167 yards. He has a 78.9% snap share so he is on the field a lot. He has not reached paydirt yet but it is coming with all of the opportunity that he is getting and this might be the week he falls in there. He is averaging 5.3 points per game in half PPR formats.

#2 Ezekiel Elliott Vs. The Bills

Ezekiel Elliott’s role has been increasing as of late. Zeke could have a pretty flex-worthy week against a beat-up Bills defense that has given up 133.7 yards to opposing offenses on the ground. With the strength of the Pat’s offense clearly being the run game, I see Zeke having a solid flex-worthy day even with Stevenson getting the bulk of the workload. He will not go without touching the ball, with 49 carries and 13 receptions so far on the year in the backup role he could be a solid flex play. Let’s also not forget that Rhamondre Stevenson did show up on the injury report this week for an ankle injury. It doesn’t seem to be serious, but it could cause the staff to swing a few more touches Zeke’s way.

#3 Jaxon Smith-Njigba Vs. The Cardinals

Coming off of the bye week Jaxon Smith-Njigba is my next flex option. I believe the problem with JSN over the first six weeks of this season is that he has not been on the field much. In the first game of the season, the Seahawks have been playing 12 personnel because they lost both of their starting tackles due to injuries. So the team has had to add more protection. So his snap share within that offense has been 56.8%. I see that snap share increasing starting this week as they have one of their tackles back this week. The silver lining with JSN is that when JSN is on the field he is getting open and he gets the targets. He is number four in separation and he plays most of his snaps from the slot. Arizona is 22nd against the pass this season giving up an average of 243.3 yards per game. With Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf taking away the number 1 and 2 corners on a weak pass defense we could possibly see JSN finally eat.

#4 Rashee Rice Vs. The Chargers

When the Chargers and the Chiefs square off it is normally a shoot-out. I don’t see this time being any different. So that’s why Rashee Rice is my next flex option. The Chargers give up 289 yards passing to opposing offenses. This makes them dead last in defense against the pass. Rice does not get on the field a lot, only seeing a 38.5% snap share. This doesn’t sound good at all, but a 32.2% target rate means that when he IS on the field it’s a greater chance than not that he will be getting the ball. This is only through six games. I believe his target and snap share will increase this game because he is clearly the best wide receiver on the team and he is gaining Mahomes’ trust. He also leads all KC wide receivers in touchdowns so far. Rice is a smash play this weekend in your flex spot.

#5 Latavius Murray Vs. The Patriots
With the running back position being so thin this week with six teams on bye and all of the injuries at the position, Latavius Murray could be a good flex spot this week. Damien Harris will be out this week due to a neck injury that he suffered last week. With him out of the picture, Murray should see all of the red zone work that he was splitting with Harris. He should be good for at least 10 carries and the way its been looking this season, 80% of those should be in the red zone. The chances are excellent that he falls into the endzone at least once this weak against a weak New England run defense.
