The Kansas Chiefs Re-Sign Hollywood Brown: 2025 Fantasy Football Implications

Fantasy Football Breaking News The Kansas Chiefs Re-Sign Hollywood Brown: 2025 Fantasy Football Implications | Fantasy In Frames

Right before the start of NFL Free Agency, the former AFC Champions brought back a notable player who is scheduled to become a free agent next week: Hollywood Brown. Let us explore how this move will impact fantasy football in 2025.

The Kansas City Chiefs have resigned wide receiver Hollywood Brown to a one-year, $11 million deal, locking in the veteran pass catcher for at least one more season. This number is notable because it means that Andy Reid and the Chiefs are committed to working with Brown and involving him in the offense even more in 2025, even though he missed most of last season with a significant shoulder injury. For 2025 fantasy football, this is a pretty complicated situation, as we have almost no clue what Kansas City’s receiver room will look like next year. Not to mention that Travis Kielce decided to return for one more season, who has historically been a target hog in his career. Rashee Rice’s status is entirely up in the air right now, as he may or may not be suspended by the NFL for a legal issue that has been going on for quite a while now. The same can be said for Xavier Worthy, as it came out over the weekend that the second-year pro was arrested and criminally charged, leaving his playing status for 2025 now up in the air as well. So many factors could play into Hollywood Brown’s fantasy value in 2025, and so many unknowns right now. If neither Rice nor Worthy are in the picture for an extended period of time next year, then Brown is worth taking a shot on late in drafts come August. However, if Rice and Worthy are perfectly fine and good to go next year, Brown should again be an afterthought for fantasy managers in 2025.
