Fantasy Football CPR: Week 7 (2024)

Hey, y’all, and welcome to the Weekly Fantasy Football CPR talk. By trade, I’m a nurse, but I love fantasy football, so why not combine the two? Each week, I want to talk about players who had a “revival” and helped your team or not because they were on the bench. If they are still out there on the waiver wire…you should add them STAT!

Last week, I was right. Adams is officially a Jet, and that opens it up big time for Bowers and Tucker in Las Vegas. And lookout, there might be an RB1 in New York with the Giants. Tracey looked good, putting up 22 PPR points.

JuJu Smith-Schuster WR, Chiefs

Well, I thought the Chiefs might make a move for Davante Adams, but after a shake-up today, he landed with the Jets, and Amari Cooper landed with the Bills.  It seems as if the Chiefs are content with the wide receivers on their roster. This opens the door for JuJu to continue his Week 5 WR1 journey, where he scored 20 PPR points on 130 yards.  Even though Hardman is coming back, JuJu is a veteran, and Mahomes trusts veterans.  Do I expect him to be the WR1 every week for the Chiefs? No, but it doesn’t hurt to grab him with Pat throwing to him.  We are dealing with numerous byes coming up and hurt receivers, so if you need a WR, he is a good one to target.

Hunter Henry, TE Patriots

Let’s talk about another veteran who can really be the go-to guy for rookie Drake Maye, and that is Hunter Henry.  He is a big target, and last week, versus the Texans, he hauled in a touchdown.  It has been very lackluster for TEs thus far this fantasy football season, and by no means is he going to give you insane points every week, but he is a great flex.  They face the Jaguars this week, who just let Cole Kmet run them over.  The Jags also are dealing with coaching and team woes, so I expect the Patriots to go into London hot.  I predict that he will finish as one of the top 10 TEs this week.
