Fantasy Football CPR with Nurse Courtney: Week 6 (2024)

Hey, y’all, and welcome to the Weekly Fantasy Football CPR talk. By trade, I’m a nurse, but I love fantasy football, so why not combine the two? Each week, I want to talk about players who had a “revival” and helped your team or not because they were on the bench. If they are still out there on the waiver wire…you should add them STAT!

Tre Tucker, WR Raiders

I am sure you aren’t shocked by the news Davante Adams wants out of Las Vegas.  I get it; inconsistency from the QB and a lackluster running game puts a lot of pressure on the #1 playmaker on a team.  Adams isn’t getting any younger and wants to win decisively and more often before he retires.  So, regardless of what happens, Tre Tucker is a hidden gem that, if you have room to stash, I would.  Week 4 versus the Browns, he hauled in 5 targets and ran in a touchdown.  Now, that isn’t high target share, but in PPR leagues, he finished with 15 pts, and in Week 3 vs Panthers, he finished with 7 of 9 targets and 22 points.  This week against the Broncos wasn’t that impressive, with only 2 of 5 targets and 18 yards, but I attribute that to Minshew’s game plan and benching.  That target share will only get larger if Adams doesn’t play or play to his potential, and Brock Bowers can’t demand them all.  I, myself, have Tucker stashed in dynasty leagues but not in redraft. That is going to change.  The Raider’s upcoming schedule is Steelers, Rams, Chiefs, and Bengals, and none of them have a top-tier defense.  I love Tucker as a flex in deeper leagues and a stash in shallower leagues.

Tyrone Tracey, RB Giants

I loved this kid coming out of Purdue. I snatched him up in every rookie dynasty draft I could. Then he got hurt in preseason, and I thought, well, there goes this season, yet here we are after an impressive RB1 showing. Yes, Singletary was out. Yes, the Seahawks might be that bad, but he plays hard. He had 129 yards on the ground. He needs to get more involved in the passing game, as he was a wide receiver at Iowa before moving into RB at Purdue. This kid is special, and Singletary is lackluster even when healthy. They play the Bengals this week, who were a little stingy to Henry and Hill but still had over 100 yds on the ground between them. If the Giants are wise, they roll with the younger, hotter hand in Tracey. If you lost Moss and Jones this week grab him now and thank me later.

That’s it for this week for Fantasy Football CPR for Week 6 (2024). Be proactive and eager. The only way to win your leagues is to stay ahead of the curve!
