Welcome to Fantasy In Frames’ Fantasy Football Starts & Sits for Week 15 (2023)!
Alright, y’all….The PLAYOFFS HAVE ARRIVED! Below are my start and sit suggestions for Week 15. Read over this, set your lineups, and get ready to win your matchup and advance to round two!
Start
- Justin Fields (@ Cleveland)
- Congratulations if survived Justin’s poor play and injuries early on. QB3 last week including passing and rushing TDs and 58yds rushing. It’s why you drafted him.
- Touch match-up on paper against the Browns but last week Trevor Lawrence finished with QB11 without the same rushing upside.
- Matthew Stafford (vs. Washington)
- Commanders are giving up 380 yards per game this season, tops in the league.
- Stafford has finished QB8 or better since Week 12 and is 2nd in passing attempts.
- Jordan Love (Vs. Tampa Bay)
- Scored 2+ TDs in all but two games since Week 7 including Top10 finishes the last three weeks.
- Tampa had Desmond Ridder looking like Mike Vick; allowing him to throw for 347, one Pass TD and one Rush TD. Love has QB1 potential.
Sit
- Patrick Mahomes (@New England)
- I finished QB15 or worse in three of the last games, and the optics are even worse.
- Patriots give up the fewest Pass Yards at 307 per game and are tied for the fewest Pass TDs at 14 this season. Unreal, I know, but there are better options this week.
- Tua Tagovailoa (vs. NY Jets)
- Put up 9.8 FPTS against the Jets 3 weeks ago with 2 INT and a fumble and only had 9.1 on MNF against a weak Titans Defense.
- Tyreek Hill is still day-to-day and won’t be 100% if he plays. Jaylen Waddle was also hurt during MNF and may not be 100% either.
- Tommy DeVito (@ New Orleans)
- Don’t let Tommy’s fresh fuchia fur fool you onto the hype train. 71 Rush Yards last week “catapulted” him to QB16 but this is his absolute ceiling.
- He did log a QB7 against the Commanders, but now faces PFF 7th-ranked Defense in the Saints that absolutely punished Bryce Young and the Panthers.
Start
- Kyren William (vs. Commanders)
- Averaging 21 carries and 5 targets with finishes of RB1, RB9 and RB14 since returning from IR
- One of the worst PFF-rated Defenses in every category including Run D and Tackling
- Joe Mixon (vs. Minnesota)
- Volume is King. RB6 in Rush Attempts and RB7 in Targets since Jake Browning took over in Week 11.
- Usage has led to three Top 10 finishes the past four weeks and faces a Vikings Defense that allows 113 Rush Yards/G on the road.
- Zeke Elliot (vs. Kansas City)
- 150 yds from scrimmage and a TD on 30 touches last week. Zeke owners praying Rhamondre sits longer
- Older, but similar dual-threat skill set as James Cook who put up similar last week against the Chief’s bottom-tier Run Defense.
Sit
- Jaylen Warren (@ Indianapolis)
- Jaylen taking over as the starter has failed to materialize as Najee continues to out-snap him and is getting more work in the passing game.
- Could be converted to a must-start if Najee misses the game against 3rd worst Colts Run D.
- David Montgomery (vs. Denver)
- Out-snapped by Jahmyr Gibbs 4 of last 5 weeks and had lowest Carries (10) all season in which he played the entire game.
- Timeshare + Broncos only allowing 91 Rush Yds/G over the last 3wks is a recipe for disappointment.
- James Conner (vs. San Francisco)
- Niners have the PFF and real-life best defensive and offensive units in the league. Conner’s 5.6 FPTS the last time they faced is the likely outcome at best.
- Prior to last week’s RB4 anomaly, has averaged RB35 since he last faced the Niners. Chase Brown has more upside this week.
Start
- Cooper Kupp (vs. Washington)
- 10 Targets for 115 yards and a TD against a great Ravens D. 5th Round Cooper Kupp is looking like a league winner if you made the playoffs.
- Washington Commanders’ Defense is trash as a staff, record label, AND crew. But seriously, their Pass Defense is the worst in the league.
- Garrett Wilson (@ Miami)
- Had a remarkable 40% Team Target Share last week against the Texans and 31.7% on the season. Zach and OC are doing everything they can to get him the ball.
- The Dolphins ironically allow more Pass Yards at Home (231) than Away, providing opportunity for Garrett to eat.
- Zay Jones (vs. Baltimore)
- 14 Targets last week. Only 29 yds but I’m chalking that to a hobbled T-Law and motivated Browns Defense.
- Ravens Pass Defense is beatable + they may have lost Kyle Hamilton for the year.
Sit
- Gabe Davis (vs. Cowboys)
- 132, 6, 135, 32, 134, 11. Not players in Squid Game but Davis’ finishes the last six weeks. Start him though, and you could be the one eliminated.
- Potential shootout w/Cowboys makes this enticing but Dallas is still one of the best Cover and Overall Defenses in football.
- Diontae Johnson (@ Indianapolis)
- The last two Top 25 finishes are fool’s gold from two TDs. Take those out, and he’s averaging 4.8 FPTS per game and closer to Top 60
- Tribusky is bad. He’s averaging 5.5 Yards per Attempt and 8.9 Average Depth of Target. On 61% completion. Zero upside for Diontae.
- Terry Mclaurin (@ LA Rams)
- 2023 All-Bust Team candidate… McLaurin has one Top15 finish all season, including WR119 last week with zero Receptions.
- Not only can he benched against the Rams, he can be dropped altogether with match-ups against the Jets, Niners, and Cowboys if your league plays Week 18.
Start
- Evan Engram (vs Baltimore)
- Last Week’s TE1 and TE3 the week prior, Engram is thriving in Christian Kirk’s absence leading all TEs in Targets, Receptions, Yds and TD.
- Ravens just allowed Rams’ 3rd-string TE Davis Allen catch 4 of 5 targets and TD.
- David Njoku (vs Chicago)
- Joe Flacco has thrown the ball 99x in two games since taking over as starter. Even at a 55% Completion, the opportunity is there.
- Last week he put up 24 FPTS on including two TDs. You’re starting him over anyone not named Kelce.
- Isaiah Likely (@ Jacksonville)
- Steady increase in Targets and Receptions including a season high and his 1st TD last week.
- Has the same skillset as David Njoku who the Jags just allowed to hang 91 and 2TDs on them including 39 YAC.
Sit
- Dalton Schultz (@Tennessee)
- Back at practice this week, but CJ and Nico Collins are not.
- Even with the potential for increased Target Share, the Titans allow the fewest points to TEs in the league.
- Gerald Everett (@ LA Raiders)
- 8 targets are what you want in a TE, but inefficiency and inconsistency make him TD-dependent.
- Eaton Stick starts on TNF with Justin Herbert out for the season. Everett and the Chargers’ Offense is extremely capped.
- Dalton Kincaid (vs. Dallas)
- Couldn’t put it together consistently while Dawson Knox was out; now he’s back.
- Cowboys only allow 8.2 FPTS/G to TEs which he’ll split that with Knox (47% Snap Count).
Start
- Tennessee Titans (vs. Houston)
- CJ Stroud and Nico Collins are both unlikely to play, and even if they do, the offense clearly misses Tank Dell.
- The Titans have a below-average defense overall but recently scored 9 FPTs against the Dolphins, Indy (6), and Carolina (12).
- Atlanta Falcons (vs Panthers)
- 100% matchup play. The Panthers allow the 4th most FPTS to Defenses and gave up Sacks, Interceptions, Fumbles, and even Punt Block for TD last week against the Saints.
- Falcons have four Top 10 finishes in three of the past five weeks and excel against teams that can’t pass well due to the #1 ranked Run D.
- Las Vegas Raiders (vs. LA Chargers)
- Top 10 Defense in Sacks and PPG since Week 9, including five sacks and 12 FPTs last week against Minnesota.
- Quick-turn TNF match-up against backup QB Easton Stick. Who? He was sacked twice and had two fumbles (1 for loss) in one ½ of play last week.
Sit
- Philadelphia Eagles (vs Seattle)
- The last five games have been a gauntlet, but the truth is the Eagles have only had three Top 10 finishes all season. They’re not who we thought they were.
- Geno should be back, but if not, Drew Lock just dropped 269 and 2TDs on the Niners, who are a much better unit.
- Baltimore Ravens (vs Jacksonville)
- Tough match-up against the Jags anyway, but now S Kyle Hamilton is out for the season.
- Fantasy playoff schedule: Jacksonville, San Francisco, and Miami in the Final. Cut bait and stream (see what I did there?)
- Detroit Lions (vs Broncos)
- Averaging a putrid 2.6 PPG in the last five games against some of the worst PFF-ranked units in the league
- Denver is quietly the 13th-best PFF-rated Offense and has scored 19+ points in all but two games this season.
