Here is our breakdown of 2023 Dynasty Rookie Prospect: Israel Abanikanda!
Player Summary
With his athletic profile (Relative Athletic Score (RAS) of 9.61), age (will still be 20 years old as a rookie) and production, over 1,400 yards and 20 TDs last season, the sky’s the limit for Abanikanda. His Proday saw him fly into the Top-5 lists of many fantasy analysts, and NFL Draft analysts such as Chris Simms & Connor Rodgers have mentioned Abanikanda as one to watch recently. His 21 total TDs led the FBS last year, and in time I wouldn’t be surprised to see him become a TD-scoring machine at the next level too.
Fantasy Summary
Draft capital and landing spots are hugely important when considering where we slot prospects’ value during our rookie drafts. Still, Abanikanda’s current 22nd overall & RB9, non-Superflex, ADP (DLF) are absolute SMASHES. I expect the New York native to receive day 2 Draft Capital and work as an RB2 during his rookie season. He’s a player I’m actively targeting during my rookie drafts.
