IDP Fantasy Football Starts for Week 15
Welcome to our IDP Fantasy Football Starts for Week 15 of the 2022 fantasy football season!
Unlike our Fantasy Football Starts & Sits on offense, given the broad range of IDP scoring settings available to people that can throw a player’s perceived value through a loop, for our IDP section, we’ll just be recommending to you players you should consider starting this week based on the potential for high statistical output and positional 1, 2, or 3 relevance assuming you’re rolling three deep on your starting roster per positional designation. So sit back, relax and enjoy our IDP Fantasy Football Starts for Week 15!
Defensive Backs
START: Rodney McLeod, Jr. vs. The Minnesota Vikings
Rodney McLeod, Jr has had a consistent hotstreak as of the past three weeks tallying six total tackles per game, one PD per game, and doub-digit fantasy points per game using Fantasy Pros IDP scoring. While he’s been playing closer to the line of scrimmage attempting to help on on run-stoppage, where he’s been a real asset the past month for IDP managers has been in coverage. As you know for IDP it’s not always the best REAL football players that make for good options but the pooer performing ones that get targted by opposing offenses thus giving them opportunities to make plays on the ball.
McLeod, since Week 11, has allowed the 9th best NFL Passer Rating when targted among all safeties in the NFL. Rodney has had more solo to assisted tackles in that time, and has been the most DB targeted for the Colts the past month. What does that mean this week versus the Vikings and the plethora of receiving options they possess? OPPORTUNITY for consistency in not only the tackling department but pass break ups. Fire him up as your DB3/IDP FLEX this week in first round of the playoffs!
START: Kamren Curl versus The New York Giants
Washington safety Kamren Curl is an insanely talented and versatile football player.
— Nick Falato (@nickfalato) December 5, 2022
Washington is almost exclusively in Nickel and Dime personnel and Curl – at 200 lbs – does a great job in the box executing his run fits. Very impressed by his tape.
Versus the Giants two weeks ago, Curl posted 12 total tackles (9 solo to 3 assisted), a TFL, and 17.8 fantasy points. This week in a pivitol game against Giants on Sunday Night Football, his objective will be to slow down the G-Men’s running game which should help pad his stats in the tackle department. He’s a DB1 for me this week and he should be for you as well!
Additional Starting Candidates: Ryan Neal vs. The San Francisco 49ers and Cam Taylor-Britt versus The Tampa Bay Buccanneers
Defensive Linemen/EDGE Rushers
START: Khalil Mack versus The Tennessee Titans
This is a purely matchup based recommendation as the Titans’ offensive line has been playing very poorly over the past month, tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere in particular who has allowed 12 total presures, two QB hits, and two sacks in that time period. He’s the OL 60 in pass-blocking efficency, according to PFF which basically means he grades out very poorly as a pass blocker. GREAT NEWS for right outside linebacker, ALL-PRO Khalil Mack. Fire him up as a high end double-digit fantasy point producers this week.
START: Greg Rousseau versus The Miami Dolphins
Greg Rousseau is a MENACE as he comes up with the strip-sack fumble 💪pic.twitter.com/pY7gsOlxTt
— Bills Nation (@BillsNationCP) December 11, 2022
Last week, Rousseau returned to form from earlier in the season with a dominating performance versus The New York Jets offensive line which saw him tally two solo tackles, two assisted tackles, a PD, and 15 fantasy points. This week against Brandon Shell, who has allowed 10 pressures and sack since Week 11 and one of the lowest graded offensive linemen according to PFF, Rousseau should have continued success in the first round of the fantasy football playoffs!
Additional Starting Candidates: Shelby Harris vs. San Francisco 49ers and Anthony Nelson vs. The New Orleans Saints
Linebackers
START: Jack Sanborn versus The Philadelphia Eagles
I’ll stop posting Jack Sanborn clips when I stop seeing impressive plays.

This man takes on a pulling Guard with a full head of steam takes the hit and makes the play. This is VERY impressive. #DaBears #Bears #ChicagoBears pic.twitter.com/9jnLe7LMLN
Coming off of a bye week, Sanborn will look to keep his IDP Fantasy Football hotstreak going against the Eagles. Averaging 18.6 points since Week 11, Samborn has an outstanding solo to assited tackle ad given how the Eagles offense should be on the field a lot this week, Sanborn should see plenty of volume which should help him be a locked in LB1 in the first round of the playoffs!
START: Frankie Luvu versus The Pittsburgh Steelers
Averaging 15.4 points since Week 11 firmly places him as a LB2 during that time period, and against a poor Steelers offensive line, he should be able to break through offensive tackles and not only make plays against the run (9th best in run tackle efficiency according to PFF since Week 11) but potentially help in the pass-rushing department which could help leap frog him into the LB1 discussion this week. Fire him up with confidence!
Additional Starting Candidates: Lavonte David vs. The New Orleans Saints and Patrick Queen vs. The Cleveland Browns
