Favorable IDP Matchups for Week 4 (2021)

Each week we’ll be taking a look at the upcoming NFL games and giving you our take on which IDPs have the most favorable matchups and who you should be considering starting in your fantasy football teams.

Let’s get started for Week 4!

Josh Uche (Defensive Line)-New England Patriots

I mean did you see that clip and how badly Uche beat his blocking assignment?! It turns out that’s been pretty much the norm for Josh Uche this season as he leads the league at the EDGE rusher position in win % versus offensive blocking. He’s, also, ranked 12th defensive lineman in IDP123 fantasy scoring with an average of 16.7 points per game.

This week he’ll face tough competition versus Tampa Bay, but given the fact Tampa Bay will have their hands full with Matt Judon as well, it is only a matter of time tonight before Uche hits home add adds to his total of sacks (3), tackles for a loss (3), and QB hits (3) on the season.

Kamu Grugier-HIll (Linebacker)-Houston Texans

With no Zach Cunningham this week for Houston, Kamu Grugier-Hill will lineup in his place and in what should be a high tackle volume heavy affair against the Bills this week. This is purely a volume play since we don’t really know what to expect out of someone who only played 70% of snaps once on the season. That being said when he did play that amount in Week 2 he posted 9 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, a sack, a QB hit, and a forced fumble. Look for the Bills to just punish Houston on the ground all game long and for Grugier-Hill and fellow linebacker Christian Kirksey to reap the fantasy rewards.

Jalen Ramsey (Defensive Back)-Los Angeles Rams

Not since his time in Jacksonville has Jalen Ramsey been on pace to tally 60 plus total tackles on the season. He most certainly is on his way there this year as he is the DB22 on total tackles on the season withe 20. He’s also the DB15 in fantasy points per game in IDP123 scoring mainly due to this increase in tackle volume. Playing a majority of his time at slot corner Ramsey has seen some of the more difficult defensive matchups versus opposing receivers for the Rams and as long as that continues his tackle volume should stay pretty consistent. Fire him up this week against the Cardinals!
