We have made it through the first six weeks of the fantasy football season and have gotten through the first round of bye weeks. Last week I hit on Trevon Diggs as a DB again because he is having an absurd year. Unfortunately, even with a good matchup I missed on Justin Herbert who had a rough week along with the rest of the Los Angeles Chargers. Now, we head to Week 7 Fantasy Football matchups!

Week 7 marks one of the worst bye weeks of the season. On bye: Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Los Angeles Chargers. Wooof.

Here are your 4-EYED Starts & Sits of the Week!

Week 7 Fantasy Football Quarterbacks

Start: Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams against the Detroit Lions

Revenge game bay bay! Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams host the Lions this week. Stafford is the overall QB8 in fantasy so far this season and is fitting in nicely out in California. The Lions are giving up 19 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks.

Additional Week 7 Fantasy Football Starts:

Sam Darnold against the New York Giants, Ryan Tannehill against the Kansas City Chiefs, and Jalen Hurts against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Sit: Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders against the Philadelphia Eagles

Carr is the overall QB13 in fantasy so far this year and is averaging 18.8 fantasy points per game. The Eagles are giving up the 12th fewest fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks so even with so many teams on bye, you can’t trust Carr.

Additional Week 7 Fantasy Football Sits:

Tua Tagovailoa against the Atlanta Falcons, Teddy Bridgewater against the Cleveland Browns and Taylor Heinicke against the Green Bay Packers.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Running Backs

Start: Cordarelle Patterson, Atlanta Falcons against the New York Giants

I yet again find myself having to recommend you start a player who was a free agent pickup in your league and wasn’t even a running back to start the year. Patterson’s performance can’t be lessened though. Through six weeks, including a bye week for the Falcons, he ranks as the overall RB10 in half-PPR leagues.

Additional Week 7 Fantasy Football Starts:

Darrell Henderson against the Detroit Lions, Antonio Gibson against the Green Bay Packers, and Joe Mixon against the Baltimore Ravens.

Sit: Miles Sanders, Philadelphia Eagles against the Las Vegas Raiders

Sanders has been an utter disappointment in the Eagles’ offense this year. He is the overall RB33 in half-PPR scoring formats. Unfortunately, he has under eight fantasy points in his last five games.

Additional Week 7 Fantasy Football Sits:

Khalil Herbert against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kenyan Drake against the Philadelphia Eagles, and Devonta Freeman against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Wide Receivers

Start: Calvin Ridley, Atlanta Falcons against the Miami Dolphins

Ridley has only played four games so far this season because he didn’t travel to London for personal reasons and the Falcons were on bye last week. The Dolphins are giving up the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers.

Additional Week 7 Fantasy Football Starts:

Chris Godwin against the Chicago Bears, Deebo Samuel against the Indianapolis Colts, and Marquise Brown against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Sit: Allen Robinson, Chicago Bears against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Robinson hasn’t been able to get on the same page with the Bears quarterbacks so far this season. He heads into Week 7 as the overall WR58 for half-PPR scoring formats. The Buccs are giving up seventh-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers so the matchup is good, but his usage is bad.

Additional Week 7 Fantasy Football Sits:

Odell Beckham Jr. against the Denver Broncos, Julio Jones against the Kansas City Chiefs, Tee Higgins against the Baltimore Ravens.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Tight Ends

Start: Zach Ertz, Arizona Cardinals against the Houston Texans

New number, who dis?

Ertz was traded from the Eagles to the Cardinals a week ago after scoring for the Eagles in their Thursday Night Football game. The Texans are giving up the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends so he should have a great matchup here.

Additional Week 7 Fantasy Football Starts:

Kyle Pitts against the Miami Dolphins, Tyler Higbee against the Detroit Lions, and Dallas Goedert against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Sit: Robert Tonyan, Green Bay Packers against the Washington Football Team

Tonyan was a man possessed last season scoring 11 touchdowns on the year. Tonyan has been playing like a shadow of himself. He is the overall TE35 through six weeks in half-PPR scoring. The WFT is only giving up 10.67 fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends.

Additional Week 7 Fantasy Football Sits:

Evan Engram against the Carolina Panthers, David Njoku against the Denver Broncos, and Cole Kmet against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With IDP options being so plentiful with IDP123 scoring, each week we’re going to list for you an option at each position with honorable mentions to help set your lineups with confidence.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Defensive Linemen/EDGE Rushers

Start: Haason Reddick against the New York Giants

Reddick is averaging 19.5 fantasy points per game. He had five fantasy points in Week 4 and then followed that up with scores of 32 and 23 fantasy points over the last two weeks. Going against a Giants team ranked dead last in pass blocking, according to ProFootball Focus, he should be in line for a productive game this weekend. It should be also noted that Reddick has slowly been transitioning to playing a larger role in pass-rushing according to his snaps along the defensive line this season. He’s second in the NFL among outside edge rushers in sacks, solo tackles, combined tackles, and 3rd in QB hits this season.

Additional Week 7 Fantasy Football Starts:

Matt Judon against the New York Jets, Nick Bosa against the Indianapolis Colts, and Jonathan Greenard against the Arizona Cardinals.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Linebackers

Start: Denzel Perryman, Las Vegas Raiders against the Philadelphia Eagles

Perryman has been basically a weekly start for me and he hasn’t disappointed. He has at least 20 fantasy points in his final four games and has at least 18 fantasy points every week this season. The past three weeks he leads all linebackers in solo tackles and is in the top three in total tackles. Keep riding this #TacklingMachine in your fantasy lineups this week!

Additional Week 7 Fantasy Football Starts:

Cole Holcomb against the Green Bay Packers, Harold Landry against the Kansas City Chiefs, and Roquan Smith against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Week 7 Fantasy Football Defensive Backs

Start: Kyle Dugger, New England Patriots, against the New York Jets

The past two weeks, Kyle Dugger has seemed to have supplanted fellow safety Adrian Philips on this Patriots depth chart. During this time, weeks 5 & 6, Dugger is second among all defensive backs in solo tackles. Playing a majority of his time this season near the line of scrimmage he has one of the lower missed tackle percentages among all safeties and the 4th highest run-stopping %. Going against a Jets offense that allowed, on average, the 7th most fantasy points to opposing safeties in the league, fire him up on your starting roster this week!

Additional Week 7 Fantasy Football Starts:

Taylor Rapp against the Detroit Lions, Khari Willis against the San Francisco 49ers, and Kevin Byard against the Kansas City Chiefs
