What’s up y’all!? I’m Colby Conway, and today, we are going to look at Jared Goff and why he just might be one of the better values at the quarterback position in fantasy football. He has plenty of weapons at his disposal, and he was one of just two quarterbacks in all of football to throw for at least 4,500 yards and 30 TDs last season.
If you prefer waiting on quarterbacks in drafts or missed out on guys you wanted earlier, let’s break down why 2024 Redraft Target Goff could be a good option for your fantasy football team(s).
Just because Goff doesn’t run doesn’t mean he can’t be trusted in fantasy football! Sure, that may cap his overall ceiling, but the fact that he’s sometimes being drafted outside of the top 15 players at his position is crazy. Not only has he been a QB1 each of the past two seasons, but with Ben Johnson calling the plays, Goff has at least 4,438 yards and 29 touchdowns in the last two seasons. He has some gnarly home/road splits, so you could pair Goff with another reliable QB to use when the Lions are on the road or out in the elements.
At the end of the day, Goff is a back-end QB1 with a QB2 price tag, which just so happens to have one of the best-supporting casts in all of football at his disposal. Selecting Goff may not be as fun or exciting as picking Jayden Daniels or Caleb Williams, but there’s safety in security, and Goff can provide just that.
