2024 Redraft Target: Jaleel Mclaughlin

2024 Redraft Target Jaleel Mclaughlin | Fantasy In Frames

Welcome back for another edition of our Redraft Target series! I’m Kyle Zeigler, and you can find me on Twitter/X at @KZ1180.

Today, we will be reviewing 2024 Redraft Target: Jaleel Mclaughlin, running back for the Denver Broncos, and how he is in a good position to help you find success this fantasy football season.

The Denver Broncos are in full rebuild mode after parting ways with their star quarterback, Russell Wilson, following just two seasons. They used the 12th pick in this year’s NFL draft to select Bo Nix, who they hope will be the new face of the team at the quarterback position. The Broncos have four running backs: Javonte Williams, Jaleel McLaughlin, fifth-round rookie selection Audric Estime, and undrafted rookie Blake Watson. Considering Javonte Williams’ history of injuries, taking a chance on McLaughlin late in the draft could yield significant returns if Williams gets injured.

Jaleel McLaughlin enters the 2024 season projected to be the backup to Javonte Williams, with Audric Estime hot on his tail. The coaching staff in Denver gave us a good glimpse throughout this pre-season of how much they intend to use McLaughlin, who was quite productive on 10 carries for 47 yards. He also chipped in 3 catches with an additional 30 yards in the air. With his current draft price around the late 11th to 12th round range, I can’t think of a better draft selection than Jaleel McLaughlin. Players going in this range in PPR include Blake Corum, Tre Benson, Mike Williams, and Antonio Gibson. He is one of my favorite late-round selections, whether I have Javonte Williams or not.
