Jameson Williams was a guy that we have been waiting to emerge ever since we saw him get drafted by the Lions. In his rookie season, he was sidelined due to an injury that he received in college, so his second year seemed to be ripe for him to explode. Although he looked like a true rookie most of the season, his contributions in the postseason gives me hope that he can easily dominate the number two role on that high-octane offense in “The Motor City.” Let’s dive into it and talk about 2024 Dynasty Target: Jameson Williams!
Player Overview
Jameson will be heading into the third year of his contract, and currently, the way has been paved for him to slot into the number two position for the Lions. They released Reynolds to free agency, and I think had a lot has to do with Williams’ playoff performances. The Lions have a solid line, an above-average running game, and even a fairly solid defense that makes this team a contender. There should be a lot of explosive games with a lot of points scored, and Williams should be right there getting a haul of them.
Trade Value
Getting a mid to late third is always a nice substitute to sweeten a deal and push it over to the accept side. I feel like if I can get away with losing that draft spot and turning it into what could and should be the number 2 receiver for the Lions, I’m going to smash accept every single time. I think on the receiving end, I’m not dealing with the high potential and talent for anything less than an early second. Obviously, it’s up to you and your trade partner to meet somewhere in the middle during negotiations.
Player Summary
In summation, I think this guy is dynamic and talented and has an amazing opportunity this year to pull much higher than ADP expectations. His opportunity is so good that if I don’t already have him in my leagues, then I’m trying to pursue him, as I think his value will skyrocket during the 2024 season.
Looking at all the players around Jameson Williams, there are not many who I believe will have the opportunity or the solid quarterback situation that Williams’ situation has. The man looked very solid in the playoffs after a very lackluster year, and I believe that will translate to a much higher floor in the 2024 season.
