Here is our breakdown of 2023 Dynasty Rookie Prospect: Kenny McIntosh!

Player Overview

Kenny McIntosh is a 22-year-old Senior from the running back factory that is the University of Georgia. McIntosh finally saw his chance to shine this past season after spending much of his college career playing behind Georgia’s other standout backs, like D’Andre Swift, Zamir White, and James Cook.

Let’s talk about how McIntosh will continue to give the University of Georgia the reputation they have in producing special players at the running back position.

Player Summary

McIntosh comes in at 6’1 and weighs around 218, giving him a slight height edge on a lot of the other backs that will be drafted in his range. That range will likely be the second round and beyond of most dynasty drafts.

This season McIntosh saw significant usage in the passing game and became one of only three SEC players to have both 500 yards rushing and receiving while scoring ten touchdowns.

McIntosh wasn’t built to be one of the “old school” running backs like a Nick Chubb or Derrick Henry type. His playing style is much more modern and comparable to guys like Austin Ekeler, Alvin Kamara, even Tony Pollard.

Those players use their skills to become dual threats in both the run game and the passing game. McIntosh is a multitalented player that can be used in several aspects of the offense, making him a valuable dynasty asset.

Fantasy Summary

When it comes to drafting McIntosh in fantasy, those who play in PPR leagues should absolutely have him on their radar. In my opinion, he has a much higher ceiling than most other rookie players being drafted in this range.

He won’t be going in the first round like Bijan Robinson, but he is a player who could be a steal in later rounds.

What McIntosh brings to the table and makes him stand out more than his counterparts is his pass-catching ability. While at Georgia, he also lined up in the slot and had a significant role in the passing game. If drafted by the right team and given a similar role in the NFL, there is no reason McIntosh shouldn’t give an immediate boost to your dynasty team.
