Here is Bills’ breakdown of 2023 Dynasty Rookie Prospect: Jahmyr Gibbs!
Player Overview
Jahmyr Gibbs is a prospect you should keep your eyes on this off-season. The former Georgia Tech and Alabama Running Back led the Crimson Tide in rushing yards and receptions in 2022. His blend of speed, vision, and pass-catching ability should translate perfectly to the modern NFL offense.
Player Summary
Jahmyr Gibbs is one of the most explosive playmakers in the 2023 draft class. His ability as a pass-catcher, matched with his natural ability and vision as a runner, make him the clear RB2 in the class and a safe bet in your rookie drafts. My advice would be to make a play for the draft pick you believe is needed to acquire Gibbs BEFORE the NFL Combine. If Gibbs runs in the mid to low 4.3’s as expected, the buzz will start, and the price will skyrocket.
Fantasy Summary
Gibbs won’t escape the first round of your rookie drafts. How high he goes will depend on his draft capital and the landing spot of not only him but other skill players. I believe his NFL Draft range to be between the late first round and the mid-second round. My favorite fit for Gibbs for fantasy purposes would be the Kansas City Chiefs. Not only would this allow Gibbs to thrive in an offense that is one of the best in the NFL with a creative play-caller, but we would get the coveted first-round draft capital that could solidify Gibbs as the consensus 1.02 in rookie drafts.
