Here is our breakdown of 2023 Dynasty Target: Najee Harris!

Estimated reading time: 4 minutes

Player Overview

Najee Harris leads the Steeler’s RB room on a team that heavily invested in their offensive line this offseason. They drafted tackle Broderick Jones and guard Spencer Anderson. Tied to that, they were busy in free agency, signing guard Isaac Seumalo who played over 1100 snaps, only allowing one sack, guard Nate Herbig and tackle Le’Raven Clark, all from the Philadelphia Eagles last season.

All these signings and draft picks indicate that the Steelers are planning to run a heavy rushing attack which will benefit Najee Harris. A few setbacks last season from a nagging foot injury held him back in 2022, but all signs seem to be pointing toward that issue being behind him.

Fantasy Summary

In his two years, Najee has amassed 2,934 scrimmage yards, adding 20 combined rushing and receiving touchdowns. Averaging that out, it comes to 1,467 scrimmage yards and ten touchdowns per season.

If he didn’t have to deal with that injury last season, he would have easily finished as a mid RB1 just due to his volume alone. He was 5th in rushing attempts only behind Saquon Barkley, Nick Chubb, Josh Jacobs, and Derrick Henry.

If he can be a little more efficient with the ball, Harris’ abilities and volume can pay off in a big way for his fantasy managers.

At his value, he should be a target for you in dynasty formats as he is a volume monster, the go-to running back in the red zone, he would be running behind an improved offensive line, he has a safe floor, and his dual-threat capabilities make him game script proof.

Right now, according to DLF’s April Dynasty ADP, Najee Harris in Superflex Formats is going off the board as RB8/47.00 overall, which makes him a mid 4th round Startup pick. Other players going around him in that spot are Davante Adams, Kyle Pitts, Josh Jacobs, Austin Ekeler, Trey Lance, and Jordan Love. Of the names there, I am taking Jacobs over Najee, and considering age I am most likely taking Najee over Ekeler and Adams.
