Player Overview
If you don’t know, Drake London is the 2nd year WR for the Atlanta Falcons, who put up 72 receptions on 114 targets along with 866 receiving yards and 4 TDs in his rookie year. The box score might not necessarily scream buy, but I promise there’s much more to like if you look beyond the raw numbers.
Player Summary
Drake London was a player that, as a dynasty manager, was coming into the season with everything that I hope to see from a top college prospect. He posted an impressive college dominator rating, breakout age, early declare, and the size and speed to go with it. While the season-long numbers might not be impressive to some, I saw everything that I needed to see to continue to believe in the player.
Taking a deeper look into Drake London’s rookie season, his target share and target rate (both of which were top 5 in the NFL last season) show us that despite the QB play, he was getting open and demanding targets at an elite level last season. All it took was a slight upgrade in QB play from Marcus Mariota to Desmond Ridder to give us a glimpse into the player that Drake London could be.
Fantasy Summary
In summary, I believe that poor QB play has clouded a lot of dynasty players’ judgment on Drake London, and his value is sitting at a point where I don’t think it’s going to get any lower. That’s what makes right now such a great time to cash in on rookie hype and buy the Drake London dip and profit. This man is good at the game, and if you sit and wait for his QB situation to drastically improve before trying to acquire him, you’re going to be too late.
